The rain poured and the rain poured.
We took a day off skiing and decided to head here for lunch. Very traditional and quirky French restaurant.
If you like your Savoyard specialities - Raclette, Tartiflette, Pierrarde etc this is your place.
I had 'Le Raclon' a Tartiflette dish with Mountain Hams - best meal of my holiday at a reasonable price.

We enjoyed our meal in L'Alambic, the service was excellent, the wine list offered a full range to suit all budgets and our C'ote du Rhone was very good. Our meals were cooked exactly as requested and full of taste without being overpowered by garlic and spices. Highly recommended

We chose off the more expensive fixed priced menu, which gave quite a good choice.

I had the smoked salmon starter and our group also had snails, salad with 2 types of melted cheese along with 3 different types of cured ham, a promising start!

The mains were somewhat disappointing, rump steak (small), salmon tartare and escalop of veal, all nicely cooked, but swamped over cooked chips.

The deserts were off the main menu with a good choice of local produce.

Overall a good meal, just spoilt by a lack of thought around what vegetables to serve with the main courses.

Good bottle of Cote du Rhone.

I love the choice of food at L'Alambic and there is always service with a smile. We have only ever had great meals here and the staff have always been very welcoming whether we are here on our own or with a group of 16.
