Hotel Ermitage - Evian Resort

Excellent hotel built in a modern style echoing that of the older Royal Evian located on the same site. First class service and excellent food, including the breakfast. Splendid views on Lake Geneva. My single room on the top floor was very comfortable except for rather dim lighting and difficult-to-find switches. The shower screen was also a bit inadequate leading to puddles on the bathroom floor. I was there for a short conference but still found time to visit the spa. Nice swimming pool. jacuzzi and small sauna.

Set on a hilltop, with great views of the city of evian, the lake geneva, and the moutains - lovely room, and lovely views
it is about a 1.5 to 2 hour car ride from Geneva airport

At the Ermitage hotel, food is truly amazing, all from the farms around, hence organic. also the best breakfast - full european/ french - the best coffee and croissants. And service is un-intrusive and there when you want, proffessional, friendly, and genuinely able to help. The rooms are newly renovated, very cosy, very clean, good attention to details (lots of storage space), quite big, tastefully and stylishly done/ just immaculate. With good amazing views of lake Geneva and the town.
Whilst in the hotel, the lobby has a fire place, and a cosy bar - where you can relax, graze, or read, or simply chat the day away.
As this resort is set in a little hill near town - you can order a van to take you into town anytime of the day. normally you have the van for yourself, and it is free, just 5 mins ride to town, and driver is nice and helpful. also so far i never had to wait, the van was always there - to and for from town- when coming back just have to call and wait a short while at the casino in town to be picked up.
When in town, dont forget to visit the "Le Source" - where you can drink and bottle - real Evain water - as much as you like, free flow to take with you. This is provision to ensure the township has access to pure Evian water at all times - even when they do get bottled and shipped around the world. Town is small, and mainly around a long pedestrain street - but there are some nice shops around, few good restaurants and cafe, and quite a few pharmacy for such a small town.
You can also entertain yourself with activities in, around the hotel - golf, tennis, hiking, swim/ amazing spa etctec or of couse, take a trip to the mountains to ski.
Highly recommened for a quiet weekend, romantic, or with small family

Thank you Trip Advisor...as my decision to chose this lovely resort was based on your reviews and it did not disappoint! The hilltop setting with an amazing view across to Lake Geneva is outstanding. A very clean and modern resort. Rooms and bathroom really well appointed. Service is top shelf in all areas of hotel; reception, spa professionals, maid staff, bartender, restaurant host, wait staff and driver-transportation. The main restaurant offers a lovely menu, and given a light appetite one evening, the host was more than willing to accommodate an off-menu order for a simple supper of soup and salad. The cheese and wine selection in the lounge was terrific and once again the staff accommodated a custom plate to suit my personal preference. Please try a Savoyard white wine as the choices are outstanding. The mineral salt massage was lovely and the spa staff very attentive. You must walk the grounds as the flowers and attention to the landscape is among the best in the world. If you are a tennis buff (I am not) the facilities appeared to be quite nice. Next time I will bring my clubs! Finally take the free transportation (5 minute drive down the hill) into the city of Evian as parking is at a premium. It was a great service to accommodate an afternoon excursion into Evian. I will certainly return to this hotel!

We spend two working days for team sessions and it was fantastic. Rooms with view to the Leman lake are inmense including one open balcony, one closed balcony with work desk, a small living all integrated with the room. Meeting rooms are big and there are a few for different quantity of participants. The view is incredible over the Swiss Lavaux. No cigars sold at the bar though ! in a place like this you want to enjoy every minute.

Taking a brief detour from Geneva to Evian was well worth the effort and it was a great surprise to enjoy the ambiance of a luxury hotel situated near one of the prettiest parts of France (Lac LeMan). From the beginning of our stay we were greeted with professionals who were pleasant and welcoming. Being on shoulder season, there were less people around the resort but attention to the grounds, the outdoor pool and the furnishings were evident. We were unfortunately unable to use the jacuzzi and indoor pool due to maintenance but the sister hotel The Royal with its luxe decor and a five minute walk through the manicured grounds provided us an optional source. The spa treatments were exceptional and there was a featured two night stay/spa special that those who live in Geneva & would love to treat yourselves for a weekend away should consider this venue. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the town as well as the funicular so it is possible to come by train and enjoy the tranquility of a superb resort. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I initially booked in the Royal, but then changed at the last minute to L'ermitage. The main reason I changed was because I had read all the previous reviews about the L'ermitage being recently renovated and the Royal being a little tired. I'm glad I changed. The L'etmitage was gorgeous. Rooms are beautifully renovated, and more like a 5 star hotel than 4. Absurdly gorgeous. My only issue is that I don't recommend this place if you are traveling alone. Far too romantic for that!!
