Stayed at Les Terrasses du Lac for 2 weeks last July/August and I agree with the previous reviewer that it will be nice when it's finished! The apartments are spacious and nicely furnished (why does anyone have carpet in a kitchen area though?!) but we did notice a sour smell every time we returned from a trip out. Some apartments face the car park or the opposite building so If you can, request a lake view room. The place was a building site when we visited and we were furious as, like the previous reviewer we had been misled by the artist's impression in the brochure, however the view and the two large balconies we had to ourselves were a saving grace. The reception staff were friendly and helpful if a little overwhelmed by complaints. The pool is your basic rectangle and not heated - I would recommend the Centre Nautique in Evian, it's huge, with 3 pools a waterslide and safe lake swimming/diving, and for a few euros you can stay all day. There is a Patisserie around the corner which is great for croissants etc.
If I remember correctly, the brochure states the apartments are 600 metres from the lake - I don't think that's true, and it's certainly not a leisurely stroll, it's very steep and convoluted, certainly something to consider if you take a pushchair.
At the end of your stay you are expected to fully clean your apartment otherwise you don't get your deposit back (they check it over before you leave) which is a bit of a drag - I'd happily pay an extra £20 or so to have someone else do it!
Unfortunately Trip Advisor don't allow local hints and tips in these reviews anymore so although I would like to make more recommendations I really don't have the time to fill out other pages. Please feel free to contact me however - I know this area of France very well.
