Room was modern and very comfortable, like a small studio apartment. Bed was fold-away sofa bed, but was nevertheless comfortable and gave plenty of day space. The decor was modern with very fresh look, although it may not wear well in the long term.
This is a "residence" meaning it is self catering, which was excellent for cost saving. Facilities were good with fridge, small hob, pots, cutlery and plates, dishwasher etc. It was unclear if using supplied kitchen cleaning materials was charged as an extra.
Only a 5 min walk from the main Grenoble Station in a quiet cul de sac.
There was no obvious shop nearby so plan ahead, otherwise an arabic grocery on Cours Berriat is fun to navigate. Nearby on Cours Berriat are also the excellent "Boulangerie David", a pharmacy and the tram stop Saint Bruno.
Staff were polite and attentive. No real noise from inside or outside the hotel, notwithstanding a short period related to Fete de la Musique which is hardly something to complain about.
