I guess you get what you pay for.
I was there on September 3 part of a tour through France and Italy. Only paid 63 euros so I didnt expect much. Not bad for the money.

Close to centre, parking in front of hotel if you leave by 8:00 am, see picture. Breakfast was not bad for a budget hotel, simple but enough.
Front desk staff was helpful, not the greatest professionalism ( this is not The Ritz) but friendly and there when needed.

Rooms are big but need updating, but again, for the money it was decent. I asked for a room with balcony and I got it. Huge balcony but facing the court not the street. It was quiet though.

Overall it was a good stay. Justifies the price.

hotel images and appearance of the reception invite to stay but maybe look for something else ... wifi works, no carpark, you can drive into the garage, if you have Smart, because nothing else enters;)
absolutely do not take a room on the ground floor because you will basically lived on the street. breakfast concept is highly questionable. couldnt have found anything worth eating, ran out of coffee and tea, and the staff could not be found for 20 minutes.
good location. go for a walk to the old city!

Room Tip: dont take ground floor room.

This is a small family-run hotel close to the old city (about an eight-minute walk). Rooms on the small side but clean and good value for money. Breakfast was good - endless coffee and steamed milk and pain au chocolat (amongst other selections). The reception staff were absolutely lovely - they were very friendly all the time, they tolerated my poor French with a smile. and they were quite happy to phone around to help me locate items I needed. When I asked them to call a cab so I could go to the train station, they phoned but said that no cabs were available. I was quite worried that I would miss my train, so the owner of the hotel actually drove from home, picked me up at the hotel, and dropped me off at the station. Really, could service possibly get any better than that...?

This hotel was an excellent alternative to the Travelodge/Premier Inn type of modern, boring, travelling salesmen/plumber/plasterer hotels. If you are happy with the Travelodge/Premier Inn then don't come to this hotel. This hotel is French quirkiness and has all the ambiance one expects - but be reasonable - its a small low cost hotel - so don't expect the Ritz. And the WLan works which one cannot say for many of the modern equivalents. Beds are on the hard side but I like that - some people don't.

There is air conditioning in some rooms - you have to ask when booking and pay a supplement.

Its location near the middle of Grenoble justifies the price - perfect to walk around the town.

Stayed in a superior room. Absolutely tiny. It did not have any tea/ coffee making facilities.. No bath only a small shower. Spotlessly clean and staff friendly. TV with only one english channel- BBC news. Room very warm and no air conditioning so uncomfortable. No wardrobe -coat hangers on a wall panel! No social space to sit in on return to hotel .Definitely would not use again

We arrived at hotel and the receptionist was at his first day in the hotel, luckely his english was pretty good. First the garage is very small (and is almost impossible to park outside the hotel). Very difficult the enter the car since also the street is very narrow. Than I asked to have a room with twin beds but it was not possible to have, so I had to separate beds by myself. The breakfast is not included and is too expensive for the quantity and the quality. So I would not reccomend this hotel unless you have no car, and want just to stay for one night.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 nights in June 2011. It was pretty average but still nice and more interesting than big chain hotels. All the parking was taken so the receptionist called a nearby hotel, and we got to park our car in their yard. Not ideal, but we were glad he sorted things best way he could.
Cheaper than most hotels nearby and was worth the money, even though I don't remember the exact price.
We didn't try the breakfast, instead we went to a patisserie nearby for a pain au chocolate and a café au lait. Didn't lose any weight during that vacation. Heh.
