Visited this charming small Bouchon after a recommendation from my brother and sister in law who live in France. Managed to book the same day we visited and we must have got the last table. Waiter was most polite and spoke English. The oeufs cocotte which I shared with my wife was superb. Our friends chose salad Lyon aisle which they shared and was really tasty. The girls had cod in a creamy sauce with potatoes and I had the subtle but flavoursome saucisson. Another had a huge portion of rob onside veal with tremendous brandy laced pasta. I finally indulged in a pommels Au Four. The cinnamon ice cream was to die for. Along with a 19 Euro bottle of wine the total bill came to 100 Euro. Put this on your list when you visit Lyon.

Visited for lunch. Lovely food - fish was very fresh and a lovely heart-attack inducing butter sauce to die for. Helpful service. Great atmosphere. Things don’t change much here, which is how it should be. It wouldn’t do any harm to update the toilets though.

Arrived at opening time, with a reservation of course, and got a quiet table for two. Good humoured staff served efficiently, even after the place was full. A fairly restricted 'menu' but still a decent selection - all tasty, including a fish main. The house Beaujolais was good. Only problem was that we needed a lie-down after the very filling meal.

Quirky little restaurant with fantastic food! Sharing a long table with strangers who talked to us added to the atmosphere!

Almost exactly one year later. We walk in for dinner (Reserve. You must reserve.) and the waiter takes a look at my husband and says "Oh HI!!!! Welcome back!" Still the same exemplary food in an atmosphere you can beat, or reproduce. Top-notch everything. Food beyond compare. Reserve now.
