“See a different side of Lyon.”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

To us this side of Lyon felt like Montmartre. We followed a map in a walking guide book made our way uphill gradually, taking in the roman circus. Parc sutter and some good street art in some older, more run down parts of Lyon. Something different to do away from The tourist crowds.

Reviewed 20 November 2013

Nice neighbourhood, visited on a Sunday around noon, strolled along the market stalls.. was crowded but absolutely authentich, and mouth watering :) Nice view on Lyon
(take one of the side streets of "Boulevard de la Croix Rousse".. if you don't feel like climbing,
take the metro...(= cog-railway)

beautiful french quarters. walked around the area and our friends showed us the beautiful tall and very fascinating murals on some backstreets. these are definitely worth seeing and taking pictures with yourself in the scene!

“Croix Rousse”
Reviewed 24 September 2013

Disappointed. Nice view of the city, but not many shops. Seemed almost deserted.
We did stop at a Roman ruins on the way down which was very nice although fenced off.
I'd recommend it for the view of the city, but not much else.
