The Roman theater is well preserved. It is still used for performances. We were also impressed with the museum which you can visit before or after wandering around the ruins. We entered the museum from the upper area. The entrance was free. The museum explains the Roman history of Lyon. I liked the layout which was basically a platform leading down to the theater. It was handicap friendly. Also, the display of ancient items was not crowded and arranged so that they could each be appreciated.
I recommend this museum if you want to know more about the history of Lyon.
