Nice hotel, well located (near the Gare), a little difficult to find. The breakfast is great, the staff is really nice... The room is a little too warm (no A/C) and too dry; there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom in the first day, but is got better after.

Very good location, close to train station, large shopping mall, and subway stations, not to mention Lyon's Auditorium. Good and clean rooms and very helpful staff. I have not tried the hotel's restaurant or breakfast, but nearby there are a lot of options and the subway can take you to many more.

Reasonably good for short stay: room is clean (even if not big), bed is quite comfortable, TV and WiFi work nearly perfectly, hot water runs well. The major surprise for me was that Internet access does not allow Skype calls :( (VoiceIP and video streaming are blocked, and there is general limit 200Mb per day), which I would need to be aware in advance. Another strange point is that you have to apply your card to use elevator; that's confusing for the first time. In my room there is no bidet nor mini-bar that I usually find in this sort of hotels (even if I do not use these); however bath room is equipped with heater that is likely very useful in winter.

A classic Ibis (better than the average), no fancy frills but with great views of Lyon from my room. Very handy for Lyon Part Dieu station from where I had trains booked. Helpful staff, clean and comfortable room. Only downside was the air conditioning during the night which did not seem to have a "low" setting - too warm when off, but too strong when on - so I didn't get the best sleep. Breakfast was good quality with plenty of options, setting you up for the day.

Room Tip: Ask for views of the city

Standard Ibis Room, so you get what you are expecting for and pay a fair price. Clean rooms, attentive and quick staff. Bathrooms are snaller than the average, mainly the sink and the shower tube, but still in the lower limit of the acceptable range. Small TV, though and less room for hanging clothes, etc. Regular size of bed, and type of matt. Parking was EUR 15 per 24 hs, so cheaper than public ones, but still expensive. I personally am not having my breakfast at Ibis in France anymore because they worsened the variety and quantity of the items they serve, notably types of breads, cold meats and cheeses. So going for the breakfast served nowadays paying EUR 8.60 is not fair anymore in my view. Just take a short walk to the mall nearby and have the breakfast they used to serve at the same price or even cheaper. Location depends on your interests. You are close to Part Dieu station, Les Halles and the Part Dieu mall, and still well served by the superb public transportation in Lyon, so to me it is a winner. Still, it is a 1.5 Km walking from Place Bellecourt, the heart of the city.
