A super little bistro just off Rue Victor Hugo and close to Ampère metro station. It's very popular (closed Sunday evening and Monday) so get there early or late. The place is quite small and usually full.

The offering is basically cheese (a fantastic selection of around 30 French cheeses), charcuterie and an excellent selection of wine by the glass with a bigger selection of bottles. The proprietor is very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable. Reasonable prices - a selection of cheese with trimmings for around €10, and a good range of salads and tartines for bigger hungers. Nice desserts too. Wine around €4 - 5 per glass.

Well worth the visit for an informal evening out.

A couple of lyonnaise friends took me to this very cozy and bohemian restaurant where you can sample many different varieties of cheese and charcuterie. It's a really good place to have a light lunch or dinner and to sample different kinds of cheeses with some good french wine. The owners are very courteous and would gladly make suggestions if you have no idea or indecisive when it comes to which cheese to try. Keep in mind that they do not accept any reservations in advance. Overall, it's a really good choice for couples or small group of friends.

Stumbled across this small restaurant and did not regret it: for some 12 euros you get a plat with a selection of either cheese or meat, together with bread. They have an interesting selection of both. Service is very friendly. Overall very good value for money!

Im a cheese lover and was very excited about this place before I got to France - I wasnt disappointed. The two guys who work there are friendly and although when we asked if they spoke English, they said just a little, we thought they were excellent. On the first day we had the mixed plate which had 3 cheeses and 2 meats for 13 Euros and a "pot" of red wine (46cl) which was 8 Euros. It came beautifully presented on a slate with accompaniments to the cheese such as chutney, nuts, cumin and figs. The bread is in a little sack and is more than enough. The second time we went back we picked our own cheese from a huge selection. We didnt know what to choose but the owner was very helpful and made great choices for us! Overall I would say this is a great little place - modern and central. im so glad I did my research before I went to Lyon - I would hate to have missed it.
