We spent just one night at this hotel as we were in town to eat at Paul Bocuse's restaurant. We arrived in the late afternoon, quickly figured out the parking garage, although it's not that clear if you're just arriving (basically park in any open spot that has a little green sign by it. The man who checked us in was very nice although I worked with my small knowledge of French, I'm not sure how much English they speak. We went up to our room and were pleasantly surprised with the size. There was a hallway with a toilet room, a separate shower and sink room, one bedroom, then a sitting room with pullout couch (which was actually pulled out for some reason).
The suite was very light and airy and had a lovely view of a tree-lined street. We headed back downstairs to get a map of the town and again, the man was very helpful in pointing out the main things to see and how to go.
Overall the suite was somewhat basic, with all the necessities in the bathroom, but not much personality. The main rooms were nicely decorated, but a bit old fashioned, and again, not much personality. The accommodation was fine though, clean, comfortable and the remote on the TV actually worked - which I feel like never happens in hotels! Also, they had a normal size blowdryer with good power which I also appreciate.
We had breakfast the next morning in the restaurant as it was included in our stay and it was substantial and I would say above average but not excellent. We arrived shortly before it closed so the scrambled eggs were gone, but there were still plenty of choices with breads, hardboiled eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit, etc. They kept the cold meats and cheeses in a small refridgerator (clear so you could see in), which was better than keeping that stuff out like other hotels do.
Overall a good stay, especially good value for the money. The location was good and the staff helpful and the rooms spacious. The actual decor/style wasn't really my taste but otherwise a great choice.
