My wife and Instayed here for one night. After touring Provence, we arrived in the evening and flew to Rome the next morning so our stay was brief but long enough to determine without question that this hotel is a true find. Great value and wonderful, friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent as well. If you are looking for 5 star luxury this is not the place but on a 4 star level this hotel is great. I highly recommend it.

I do find the hotel pretty fine, well located, adequate level of service, very good breakfast with organic products. Still mentioned some spots on color pillows of the bed.
Wall-on washing creme (as in the toilet) in the bathroom is also a must. Room lacks slippers as in bathroom has a tile floor. No shaving mirror, suppose this should be corrected. Still pleased with stay, definitely return.

As mentioned, simple walk from train station so this hotel was perfect for our overnight stay in Lyon.
Hotel has a nice reception area and staff were helpful (although couldnt recommend any restaruants apart from fast food outlets).
The room was in very good decorative order and shower was excellent. Bed was lovely to sleep in.
Good value hotel.

If you are thinking the location is not close enough to Lyons main attractions, there is a city bike rental stand beside the hotel; we found it a great way to travel to the river (10 mins).

Adjacent to train station. A business hotel primarily but fine for a family. About a third of the cost of all the other comparable hotels we stayed in on this trip. About 10 eu cab to the old city. Apparently nearly empty on weekends. Cab stand 100 yards away in front of train station. Also very quiet and nice bar and restaurant. Very newly decorated too.

Very clean rooms, great location (next to a metro train station but still quiet), friendly reception staff who helped with restaurant reservations and all within walking distance of what was billed as one of the largest shopping malls in Europe (didn't seem like it).

It was very easy to take the bus into town and we felt quite safe walking around at night.

Some things to note: we drove over in a large MPV and it was very tricky getting that into the carpark. The GPS Also the black-out curtains in the bathroom (in our room and our friends') didn't quite cover the window, which left me wondering if the people on the train platform could see me bathing... There is some construction on the main road in front of the hotel but no complaints about that.

But one of my friends got an upgrade to a Privilege room and they had a nice Nespresso coffee machine there which we all enjoyed.

£130 per night (3 nights) - Privilege Room - June 2012

This really was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Whilst not the grandest or swankiest hotel out there, it was really well organised, decorated, cleaned and located.

The staff on reception were polite and helpful, maybe a little slow when checking out but it was 6:30am so couldn't really complain about the lack of staff, its just we had a train to catch.

The restaurant food was really nice and well cooked, although the menu was small and consisted of around 5 items, we both had the steak and the waitress made sure that no dairy was used as I am lactose intolerant.

The room was really nice, the bed was huge and the sheets clean and crisp, nice pillows and the windows were very impressive at blocking out the sound, could not hear a thing from the train station opposite, I'm a very light sleeper and could not hear a sound. The rainfall shower was perfect, just the right amount of pressure and the bathroom was big with a large basin. The toilet was in a separate room too which made it very private if sharing with a partner.

We had the privilege room and this included the minibar ( soft drinks and water ) and a Nespresso machine. On our second day the machine pods and mini bar were not filled, we called reception and someone delivered some to our room within 5 minutes. Fantastic service.

The location is perfect as it is about 100 yards away from the train station and the area is very safe and lots of people about. Its a bit of a walk to the old town but we did this a couple of times a day everyday at it was really enjoyable.

There was some building work being carried out in one of the rooms but they didn't start drilling until 10:30 every day, but if you wanted to sleep past this it would be noisy. We were awake early anyway so didn't affect our stay.

Room Tip: Choose the privilege room if the budget allows. Our room faced the train station and was silent.
