What a nice surprise - I didn't see any difference between this Ibis Budget and "normal" Ibis hotels I have visited earlier. The location of the hotel was great for me, a direct tram line from the airport and close to the venue I had my meetings in. Ok, it is not in the city centre, but about 30 min walk from it. The staff was friendly, and my room very clean though basic. This hotel is good for one or two night stays - for a longer stay, the lack of proper closets for cloths might become a challenge. In spite of the Light Festival in Lyon, the room price including breakfast was not too high.
Very convenient! Only a few steps from the Gare Part-Dieu. Well-designed rooms. I stayed only the night to take the train the next morning, it was just perfect for that! Good price. Great service. On the other side I guess that if you want to visit Lyon maybe the location is going to be a problem...
For the price, we didn't expect luxury, but we were perfectly satisfied with our three-night stay. The hotel is right next to the Lyon Gare Part-Dieu, which was very convenient for our late night arrival and early morning departure. The room was spotless and well designed, and very quiet. The one downside was that the windows were so air-tight that the room warmed up uncomfortably overnight just with our body heat, even with the AC going full blast. But overall a great experience.
Great location if you need to be near the Gare part -dieu or the Europcar location for pu or drop-off. Like all the Ibis Budget, small, clean, no frills but more than adequate. Free wifi and connected to 2 other hotels: Ibis Styles and Mercury, I believe was the name. Restaurant was fine but again, no frills here either. Computer in lobby for customer use. Again, they use a bunk bed situated over the regular full-size bed so if climbing ladders presents a problem, sleep on the bottom bed or don't stay here. I've been very pleased with Ibis budget.
