Excellent grilled meats and paella. If J-G, the manager, makes a recommendation, take it! He knows food and his suggestion is spot-on.

“Disappointing!”
Reviewed 21 June 2013

The brasserie doubles up as the breakfast room, which would be fine if we did not have to eat dinner looking at the remnants of the breakfast buffet which they do not bother to clear away. For some reason, the decorator decided that every second table needs 24 overhead lights (I counted) to light up your meal. These are interspersed with additional lights making it lit up like a airport runway. Staff are very friendly, but as we were, not surprisingly, only 1 of 3 tables, we were forgotten a lot and had to re-order and pour our own wine and water throughout the evening. We asked for butter for our rolls (I know, not the French way), the waiter brought a 250g slab!! Was he making a point? We found it very strange, considering that ths is an international hotel and they must have had this simple request before. It left a bad tone for the evening. We started with salads, which were large and nice and make a good meal for lunch or to share as a starter. My husbands steak was terrible, tough and gristley - at Euro 30 he did not eat it. I had the famous Bresse chicken which was dry and unspecial, I left most of it. For 4 people we paid 200 Euros which we felt was a lot, considering that the chef has no shame and needs to go back to cooking school. Our guests did not complain, but I noticed that they did not eat their food and looked forward to dessert. There must be hundreds of tiramisu recipes on the Internet. Perhaps the chef should read a few as what he served does not come close to what was described on then menu. The outside area looks nice and is probably a great spot to have a salad or sandwich for lunch. I would give this restaurant a huge miss for dinner. We travel about 4 months every year and eat in a vast number of restaurants ranging from very casual to 5 star. Hilton needs to fix their F and B department at this, otherwise, pleasant hotel.

Whether having, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the restaurant has much to offer for a snack or something more to tasty. High quality wines and great staff and terrace.

“Brasserie Hotel Hilton”
Reviewed 6 November 2012

The Brasserie is connected directly with the hotel on the covered avenue linking all parts of the conference / cinema / restaurant complex of which the Hilton Hotel forms a small part.
The Brasserie serves a wonderful buffet selection for breakfast with a vast array of foods to suit all tastes.
In the evening it is open for casual or formal dining with an excellent choice of local and international dishes and wines at affordable prices. The Brasserie staff are multi lingual, friendly and ever ready to make helpful suggestions to the first time visitor to Lyon. You won't be disappointed.
