Perfect if you are arriving on the TGV at Part Dieu, only a short walk along Boulevard Marius Vivier Merle. Before we arrived I was a bit apprehensive about what the neighbourhood would be like. It's described as the business district so I was worried it would be deserted or seedy after dark, but it is fine and we felt safe walking back to the hotel at night. In fact, the hotel is very well-placed for walking into the centre of Lyon for sightseeing. We walked to Place Bellecour along Rue Paul Bert which is a pleasant 20-minute walk through an interesting residential neighbourhood. The hotel is also close to metro and tram lines. The transport system in Lyon is excellent.

Our room was very clean. Twin rooms fairly small. Bathroom small but perfectly adequate. Excellent shower. No hair dryers: bring your own.

Breakfast very good value indeed. Basic but adequate fare: cereals, toast, juice, hot drinks, baguettes, jams, honey, yogurt. As long as you aren't expecting freshly baked croissants it's fine. In the breakfast room there is a television with news programme on, plus daily newspapers provided. The breakfast staff were very friendly to us during our stay too. Reception staff friendly and helpful too.

Only thing against it is its proximity to the train lines so if you want to sleep with the window open and are a light sleeper you may be disturbed by the noise from the night freight trains. We were there during an unseasonal heat wave and unfortunately the air con broke during our stay so we did need the window open. No dramas though, these things happen.

Room Tip: Twins are a bit small. Choose a triple, these have a double bed, are the same price and are more spa...

Good basic hotel room for the price. Modern bathroom, but shower so small and badly designed as to be almost unusable. Long walk from train station. e10 cab ride.

The hotel is very conveniently located, the staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and well air-conditioned, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was ok, could have been a bit better, but in a way, it's a fair value. The only notable drawback was the size of the bathroom, it really is just a bit too tight. But, overall, you get good value for your money for a city like Lyon. It's not a fantastic hotel, but I think when you're booking to stay there, you know you are not looking for a luxurious place. We spent the whole day out and about and only came back for a good night's rest. For that, the hotel is very good.

The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Gare Part-Dieu, 5 mins away from the shopping centre (also next to the Gare), about 10-15 minutes walk from the city centre, and plenty of public transportation available.

The hotel is new so it is very clean and modern. Only cons in my opinion are that if you are unfortunate enough to land a room facing the railroad tracks then there will be a lot of noise literally every few minutes however the noise subsides at night as there are fewer trains operating. Another small problem is that there are almost no fast food places around the hotel which is a problem if you are coming home late and want something to eat.

Otherwise, this hotel is highly recommended. Great value!

Well, we stayed at this hotel just overnight to catch an early flight back home. According to reviews and photos, I was really looking forward to stay there. But there came the disappointment.
For about 50 EUR (you can get better price if you check directly the Premier Class website) you'll stay in a decent room with thin walls, TV and perhaps, as we did, a view over the train station. But I have to admire, that there's really no noise going inside.
Finding of hotel is very easy - it's about 7 minutes from Part Dieu train station and a tramway from St Exupery airport.
Lyon is a very modern city, definitely go there. And if you look for a budget stay, I can recommend you this hotel!

Yes, the other reviews have said it all. Good location by the station. Clean rooms. Tiny tiny bathrooms made from one piece moulded plastic. So I knew what we were in for. What we did not know is that the maid would com knocking at 9.30am. Only a quick wake up and dash to the door saved us. What sort of time is 9.30 am to start room service? I put the do not disturb sign on the door to ensure it wasn't serviced as it was a little messy with our stuff (embarrassing) and to save the towels from being changed. Even though this sign was up once we had left the maid cleaned up the room and moved a whole bunch of our things. This was a fair disturbance of privacy! Won't be staying in this chain again!
