Have just returned from four nights in this beautiful, spacious and very well equipped apartment in an excellent location. Spotlessly clean and everything there we needed for a really comfortable stay. Would definitely stay at Les Augustins again. Very central with lots of interesting places to visit all within walking distance of the apartment. If food is your thing then you definitely won't be disappointed with so many wonderful restaurants, cafes, bakeries, markets, etc all close by. We did two walking tours which I would thoroughly recommend to really appreciate this beautiful city. We were met by the owners parents and although we don't speak much french and they had limited english we were shown everything we needed to know and were very friendly. This is one I would definitely recommend.
The apartment had everything we needed for a weeks stay.close to shops and eating out.goid public transport links we did not rent a car.there is a stone staircase leading up to the apartment no hand rail so you need to be careful.there is a university nearby with lots of students so we did hear then pass by the apartment each night also there was some road noise.but as your so close to the city centre not too bad.Ana's parents were very helpful and lovely.so all in all we had a good week.
Central location in old Lyon. A spacious tastefully furnished apartment. Ana's parents did great induction and even arranged a cab for our departure.
Great location, right in the middle of where everything happens, but still on a quiet street close to the river. You'll find everything close to this gorgeous flat: Restaurants, bars, grocery shops, old town, etc.
The flat itself is very classy, spacious, and is very comfortable. Would definitely love to stay there again!
Nice and warm place greatly situated in the center of Lyon. Best place if you wish to walk instead of use public transport.
The location of the apartment is great if you want to be located in the heart of Lyon so you can walk to many locations. Recommend the Saone River cruise and the city bus tour. Both give one a true feel of Lyon.
The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped as the listing indicated.
The only problem we experienced was that Taxi's have difficulty finding the address since the apartment is located on a small side street. If you are arriving by train, would recommend you take a taxi to the apartment.
When one first arrives at the entrance to the apartment, one might wonder about the location, but do not have any worries. As indicated earlier, the apartment is located on a small side street which is quiet. One half block walk and you are on the main street running along one side of the Saone River.
This apartment is perfectly located on presq'il, in a quite street within walking distance to everything. We stayed for 9 days and walked to Vieux Lyon, Place Bellacour, and on to the Museum de Confluences, the Croix-Rousse area, and to the area on the other side of the Rhone. Whilst public transport is everywhere, we prefer to walk (even in 0 degrees!) so as travellers, a great location is a must.
The apartment is exactly as portrayed in the photos, immaculately clean, and really well appointed. (If anything, it is actually larger than it looks in the photos). It is warm and cosy (appreciated in early January). WiFi is great. The welcome (by the owners parents) is warm and welcoming. Even though we speak very little French, they managed to show us all the features of the apartment easily.
Close by i.e. also everything you need to enjoy a self cater stay (markets, supermarkets, boucherie, boulangerie, traiteur etc), but also close by are many great places to dine.
The owner was extremely helpful to me in planning our visit, and there are also lots of brochures in the apartment.
I thoroughly recommend this rental to couples wanting to explore this beautiful city.
