From the moment we stepped over the threshold into Pierre Orsi's charming restaurant and were greeted by the maitre d'hotel and the chef himself I knew that our experience would be something special.
Each member of the staff who attended to us was friendly and professional especially Pascal, the maitre d'hotel who was absolutely wonderful. He made excellent suggestions guiding us through the menu and wine list. He really bent over backwards to please us. During the meal Chef Orsi came into the dining room and stopped by every table to make sure that his diners were enjoying themselves.
The food was excellent and the portions were just right. As a surprise, Pascal had the kitchen make a personalized dessert for us. When we were leaving, the chef came over to wish us a safe trip back home.
All in all Pierre Orsi provides delicious meals and graciousness beyond compare.

Every year a MBA alumni group meets in a different European city. This time Lyon was chosen. Our final gala dinner is usually the highlight of the reunion.
This time Pierre Orsi could not have filled the bill better.
Private room, warm welcome by very gracious and knowledgeable staff and truly delicious dinner featuring lobster and fois gras ravioli to die for!!
Best part was the communication with our head waiter who very unpretentiously explained the dishes and afterwards showed us the kitchen and the wine cellar with really exceptional bottles.
An excellent evening all around.

Fabulous meal, exquisite service and a wonderful experience. A slight challenge translating a French fine dining menu though the waiting staff were at hand to help. We opted for the house specialities and were not disappointed.
Fine dining doesn't come cheap though this was well worth every Euro, an experience to recommend.

This was hands down one of the top 10 meals of my life, primarily because of one dish : the foie gras raviolo with truffle sauce. Absolutely mindblowing.

We went to Pierre Orsi based on TripAdvisor reviews and a Michelin star. It was a good and interesting experience. The greeting was very gracious and welcoming. We had a lovely table in the very spacious and ornately decorated dining room. Mme Orsi was cordial and engaging. The food was served by a cadre of young women all appearing to have stepped out of a Degas painting. Despite their youthful appearance they were exceptionally competent and the service was outstanding. The tasting menu consisted of seared fois gras followed by a wonderful broiled half lobster followed by roasted ris de veau, then cheese and dessert. The meal was "classic" from a bygone era, including the flamboyant table presentation which lent an air of theatricality to the evening. Although each course was well prepared the menu was too heavy and lacked balance. The wine list was superb with very nice choices and a range of prices. Dining at Pierre Orsi was reminiscent of Michelin starred restaurants of the past.
