Had a meal here before boarding the Eurostar home. Food was good , but service was a bit rushed and erratic . Convenient for Eurostar Terminal.

Recommended by a local, it is clear what this restaurant is all about as soon as you walk in. Traditional French dishes, a mixture of Lyon and northern French classics. I went for the Salad Lyonaisse and Pike quenelle, as did most of our party of eight. They made a mistake with the starters which meant something of a delay but were very apologetic and we got some free desert in compensation. I don't mind when things go wrong, it gives the staff a chance to show how well trained they are. it's not cheap, but then quality never is. It may be a bit of a tourist trap, but most of the clientele seemed to be local and it was rammed on a Monday night. Highly recommended.

After having been for three days in Lyonnand having tried only mediocre melas, we have decided to go to the famed Paul Bocuse's outlet for the normal folks. Boy, what a great decision! we did not want to order the menu, although it looked very tempting, but have chosen Quenelle and Salade lyonaise. Wow, one was better then the other, the waitress was discreet but helpful. She has even suggested some great wines to pair with the food. And the Tarte du rhubab was amazing! We might go again. Grat price too!

If anyone can make a mess of things like chicken in mushroom sauce and a green salad, Le Nord can. Dour decor which is old and shabby, flavorless food, offhand service and a menu which has nothing to offer a non-Lyonnais or a vegetarian. The best part is a 'dinner' for two (three-courses, drinks, tea/coffee) will set you back at least EUR 100 ... best spent elsewhere.

If you're expecting some top notch innovative cuisine by Paul Bocuse you'd better not go to one of the 4 brasseries he has in Lyon. My guess is you might get disappointed. However! If you want to taste some traditional French dishes that are perfectly executed than this is a good place to try them, We chose Du Nord which specializes in dishes from the North of Lyon. And we loved it! Service was also as to be expected. Not over-friendly but focussed on service. Other reviewers sound a bit disappointed but our guess is that they went to this place with the wrong expectations.
