My wife and I visited Megeve for the first time in January and stayed at Les Cimes, run as a catered chalet by Ski Royale. From the moment we arrived until we left we were looked after extremely well by Michelle, Adam and their staff. Everyone went out of their way to be friendly and helpful so we were always made to feel at home. The chalet is clean, warm and comfortable with abundant supplies of hot water and super foood prepared each day by Charlie, the chef. My wife's dietary requirements were met without fuss too.
The chalet is handy for lifts, ski bus and the centre of Megeve and the slopes are extensive with plenty of runs to suit differing levels of skier/boarder.
We couldn't fault the holiday and hope to return next year. Thanks to everyone at Ski Royale.

Our second trip to Les Cimes - this time for a quick New Year break.
Michelle arranged the quick transfer from Geneva and had our ski passes and hire sorted, so we were out on the slopes as soon as we arrived. Booking an early flight means that you can get 31/2 good days skiing in a 3 night stay.
Les Cimes is a gem - very comfortable with wonderful food and both times we've stayed we have met some great people. Michelle, Adam and team go out of theire way to make their guests comfortable and the position of Les Cimes, Megeve and the lovely quiet ski area couldn't be bettered.
Take advantage of the ski guiding - it's a great way to find your way around the 3 different areas and there are plenty of different pistes to discover.
We have never before stayed in the same chalet more than once and the high percentage of repeat bookings at Les Cimes are testament to the fact that it's a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Some rooms bigger than others - we booked last minute for new year, so ours was very small but very...

Our third stay at Les Cimes with Ski Royale (we have also stayed at their Chalet Megeve which is also really nice) and I thought I would share our thoughts. This is not a huge place, the lounge area (mixed with dining room) is quite small, the rooms are varied (mixed capacity) and some are quite small though all are en suite. Even so, the welcome, the great food (courtesy of Charlie again this year) where those with dietary needs (or even preferences) are always accommodated, and the friendly atmosphere just mean that none of it matters and we keep going back. Michelle and Adam go out of their way to help you have a really great holiday, whether it is picking you up from Geneva airport (in their new this year mini bus), guiding you around the slopes, getting ski passes so you can head straight for the slopes, arranging to hire a particular type of skis I wanted to try before I bought (which Michelle did for me one year), sorting out a room on departure day so we could ski and then change before we left for the airport, or just giving eatery advice on the chalet hosts night off, it all makes for a great overall break. In the years we have been going they have gradually improved and updated the chalet so that all of the rooms and en suites now are just about as nice as they can be. In an expensive place like Megeve, this Chalet just breaks the mold and we have never been disappointed, right from when we first took a chance and booked direct. We have never regretted that. Whilst it is a 5 minute walk to the ski lift in town, the bus stops for the other two ski areas are only 3 minutes away. Megeve itself is a very chic resort so please don't expect cheap drinks (except from the honesty bar in the chalet).

Room Tip: There are a mix of rooms, some for couples, some for families. Best to speak with Michelle and expla...

We visited Les Cimes shortly after the New Year 2013 and can find no fault with the operation, location and service. Food was very good and the chef actually quite personable - no Gordron Ramsay pretenders here thankfully.
Quite a "humble" property from the exterior but this translates to cute on the interior with wood features and knick knackery.
Ski storage etc is fine with an easy to get to room - not outside or in a cold basement as is often the case.
My only point of note would be the chairs in the dining room were the wrong shape for the room meaning little room to wiggle through during dining. And if this is my only negative comment, you can tell it is a pretty good place to stay!!!
Close enough to down town Megeve as well. If you're staying in Megeve there are some excellent resto's as well so do try the local establishments at some point.
Skiing was great, plenty of terrain to occupy a weekend or lazy week.
Will return if circumstances allow it.
Oh and you must must must catch the Horse Lift back from the slopes. An actual horse and carriage ride back to town from the gondola base station, its gratis!

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms are the best.

This was my 4th trip - which just about says it all! I visit Les Cimes for short ski breaks and love it. I travel with my son or daughter (wife not a big ski fan) and find the relaxed atmosphere at Cimes perfect for meeting new people who are into skiing and good food - a winning combination. So here's my top ten reasons for visiting Les Cimes:
1. Relaxed friendly atmosphere.
2. Delicious food.
3. Guided skiing (great way of meeting other guests).
4. Well-groomed, quiet pistes - with bags of powder last 2 visits :-)
5. Lovely pedestrianised town with mega Christmas tree.
6. Short - well-organised transfer to Geneva airport.
7. Lift pass/ski hire hassle all sorted.
8. Honesty bar - reach into the fridge for a beer - just like home!
9. Every year there are improvements/refurbishments made to Les Cimes from the bedrooms to the communal areas - which tells me the owners care about their guests experience.
10. Last but definitely not least, hosts Michelle & Adam (and staff) - always helpful, friendly and willing to go the extra mile - priceless.

Room Tip: They are all good :-)

This was the second time that we have visited Les Cimes in Megeve, and following this trip we have already booked for next season. Its always difficult when you recommend freinds to come on holiday with you especially when you rave about a place as much as we did to get them there, and having stayed in some not so desirable ski hotels with our freinds in the past I was thrilled that they shared our views on how great Les Cimes was. There were lots of plus points about this break, the food was great, Michelle, Adam and all of the staff were really pleasant and fun to spend time around. The transfer from Geneva was short and they took us straight to get our skis and brought us back to the Hotel in the car and Jesse (who drove us) was great to meet and had a fantastic sense of hunour, which made the transfer fun. Charlie's cooking gets better and better but one of the best things about this trip was the two days of ski hosting which allows you to just get on with the fun of skiing without having to read the map! The only downside to a great trip was one rainy day, but hey ho, not much Ski royale can do about that. See you all next year.
