“Charming”

A really lovely centre - well worth a visit. The fortified church is very unusual and the main square with its old buildings and ancient lime tree is very atmospheric

“Nice medieval city with lot of features”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2014

Loved visiting this place. Tourism office rent an audio-guide in French only.. Should it have been available in English, I would have given a 5 stars. Lot of history in there, worth a nice visit.

“Worth a visit if one is close by”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2014

Perouges is only one hour and a half away from Geneva where we live. It makes a good day trip because it is quite near and interesting enough. There are not too many towns with 500 year old buildings. One can cover the whole village in about an hour. We were fascinated by the construction of the buildings, all made of stones. The streets are all covered with stones too. I was glad that I had decided to wear a sensible pair of boots, built for walking.

“Wonderful Medieval Village!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2014

It reminds Gordes, in small scale! It is basically a circular street that surrounds the village, with a central area. Beautiful! Enchanting houses and stores, surrounded by gorgeous flowers and nice restaurants.
