5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2013

This is a very good hotel in a convenient and quiet part of town. It is very closer to the slopes, ie walk no more than 100m from locker room. There was no street noise at night. We had a double superior room which was okay but not huge. The staff are very professional and the hotel is very clean. True, it's s not cheap, but then nothing is in Val D'Isere, so overall I was very pleased.

Room Tip: The first floor is probably a bit noisy from the street, not so much revellers but snow plough and d...

We booked this hotel based on reviews but perhaps we were unlucky. We booked a junior suite and have an attic room which at around €700 a night with breakfast is just not worth the money.

I am writing this review on our third night of 7. We returned today from a days skiing and our room has not been cleaned

Reception staff speak good English but most other staff we have encountered barely speak any English at all.

Breakfast is very poor. Very little choice when compared with other hotels I have stayed in in courchevel, chamonix etc

To be honest I tried to find another hotel and if I could have done we would have moved

Room Tip: Do NOT accept an attic room. They tell up you the view is great but the reality is you spend all day...

Dear Sir,

Further to your comment, we appreciate you took time to inform us about the inconvenience encountered during your stay.
As discussed at your arrival you are in a Junior suite Duplex as booked on Internet. I am very sorry that you do not appreciate your room but all our Junior Suites have the same configuration in "duplex". The rooms located in the 5th floor (higher floor) are the nicest rooms we have (quiet with nice view). Concerning the staff, all the staff at the reception, bar and restaurant is speaking English. Indeed the housekeeping staff is not speaking English, it is not required. Concerning the cleaning service, I apologize if we had been late and after your request we clean your room at the time you want.
Best Regards
Emilie PAJEVIC

We had a fantastic time over a long week-end in April 2012. There is a general feel-good factor when you enter the 'Aigle des Neiges' as they have created a designer boutique hotel feel whilst retaining the cosiness and the friendliness of a mountain retreat (wood stacks, fireplaces).

First and foremost, the location is outstanding - right in the heart of the old village and at the same time about 50 yards away from the slopes, meaning you can ski back to the hotel on your way down.

Rooms are tasteful and quite modern - we stayed in an entry-level room for the two of us which was absolutely perfect (good sleep quality, nice shower).

The spa area is also brilliant after a day of skiing - very slick design and most importantly very clean. The pool is certainly not olympic distance but great to relax the tired muscles! Steam room and sauna are also greatly appreciated.

The staff was very helpful and made sure our holidays was stress-free. Staff took care of our ski passes (no queues) and rental equipment, as the hotel enjoys enjoys its own rental place in house. The ski room gentlemen were very helpful and always willing to help.

Overall, a great stay albeit too short. We will definitely be back in 2013!

Really enjoyed our stay here over new year. So close to slopes. Service very friendly. Rooms tasteful but quite basic. Bar a nice place to hang out. Was great having the ski rental shop just downstairs as we did change a few times from skis to snowboards etc but that was no hassle. And they helped every morning getting the kids ski boots on - always a stressful part of the day!

Location to slopes is excellent / 10 feet away and really friendly staff in boot room - even help you get ones boots on! Good restaurant / expensive. Bar ok, bands play soft rock/jazz if that's your thing - they could have been a bit more lively - hence why this hotel bar is not on the "hot" list, which probably is a good thing if your looking for some R&R after a hard ski!

Rooms where small and overpriced. Rooms where tired and not 4star. We had to move rooms as 1st was simply too small for 3 persons and had one tiny window. Do not accept a room on the 5th floor it's an attic and in my view an overflow used by the staff.

Room Tip: Probably one of the best in Val, but not value for money ....

This hotel was excellent - we booked after reading reviews on this site and were not disappointed. The staff are wonderful; very accommodating, bubbly and friendly, and could not do enough for us, including providing food to our rooms when we arrived late to the hotel on the first night due to travel complications. Rooms are comfortable and modern. Breakfasts are excellently varied and the dinners are spectacular examples of french cuisine. We will definitely return to this hotel next time we want to stay in the area.
