4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 April 2013

Nicely designed hotel, views of the slopes, centrally located, short walk (just meters) to the edge of the piste.

Convenient ski rental in the basement. Very good service.

Friendly and attentive staff.

Did not try the spa... would have liked to.

We really loved our meal here..we ate in restaurant La Paul...my husband had Foie Gras it was very nice with great presentation he also had red mullet which was beautiful.. I had Caesar salad which needed more dressing. The atmosphere was lovely and service very good but I didn't enjoy my meal as much as some other meals.

We only ate here and didn't stay but I couldn't find a restaurant option for the hotel.

Moving to the Hotel L'Aigle des Neiges from Hotel Bellevue (for the love of all things holy, don't stay at the Bellevue) was such a joy - attentive professional staff, clean quiet rooms and a perfect position in a quiet part of the old town, a stone's throw from the lifts.
Not particularly cheap but a very solid bet for a great ski holiday.

This hotel ticks practically all the boxes. Good location, outstanding, flexible and very willing service in all departments, comfortable and clean rooms, excellent breakfast. My only caveat is the dining: both restaurants are short on atmosphere and choice, and the food only adequate.
Stay here, dine elsewhere...

My husband and I stayed here for 11 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. For an Australian traveller who has spent 35 hours in transit, the check in was seamless and the front desk people incredibly helpful.

We found that the breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice, and the ambience of the bar and public areas was lovely. All the staff are incredibly helpful and nothing was ever too hard. The hotel is in an excellent location to the ski slopes and the ski room was fantastic and made everything easy; especially at the end of the day.

The only downside to our stay was the temperature of the rooms. We needed to open the window to allow cool air in which made the morning delivery noises quite loud! However we would stay here again, and highly recommend as a place to stay to our friends.

Room Tip: The standard rooms are a decent size for two adult occupancy however if you were travelling with a c...

This was our first time skiing as a family and we had a fabulous week. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and ent out of their to be of assistance, including checking my daughter's French essay! The boot room staff were amazing and worked really hard. Someone had mistakenly taken my youngest daughter's skis on the first morning, so they loaned us a pair free of charge.
The food was good, service excellent and to top it all the weather was superb!

Room Tip: Ask for a slope facing room as these are quieter

I was prompted to write this review after reading the critical review by Sally Capener. I simply do not recognise any of the faults listed in that review. In particular, my wife and I found the service to be absolutely exemplary, be it in the boot room, the restaurant or reception. One morning I realised that I had left my hat in the room and a receptionist fetched it for me to save me the effort of taking off my ski boots and then putting them on again shortly thereafter. The breakfast was excellent ; a wide range of choice, including English style options, the half board dinner was varied and of good quality and the restaurant wines included reasonably priced alternatives.
The location is perfect, close to both the pistes and the centre of the village.
The rooms and spa facilities were excellent. I swam every day after skiing as the pool was so inviting, remarkable as I never swim at home.
My only complaint was the high price of the drinks in the bar, disproportionately expensive when compared to the cost of staying and eating at the hotel; a shame as it meant we drank there less frequently than we might otherwise have have done

Room Tip: Some higher rooms , at the rear, have better views
