We stayed in Chalet Saffron, which is in the same building as Chalet Reuben. The layout of the chalets is identical - Rueben on ground floor and Saffron on first floor. Chalet hosts were all great and the food was excellent. As mentioned in other reviews the rooms were small. Ours had a half-bath, which was not great for relaxing after ski-ing. However the room was more than adequate and nicely appointed. We had the chalet host take away the chair and mirror and that left us with more room.
It is a short walk to the bottom of the lifts and very well set up for ski-ing, with ski lockers in entrance lobby and lots of boot warmers in basement.
One downside was poor security - there is a key code to enter the building, with a code which I think has never been changed and then no locks on any internal doors.
Overall the chalet host, Jo, was great and we had a great time, the only downside for us was noisy kids with other guests who woke us up repeatedly in the night and the morning, but I think we were just unlucky with that.
I would definitely stay here again (ideally without someone else's noisy kids).
