“EAT OUT!”

The Hotel it's self was very nice, and most of the staff were very helpful.
The food was appalling! even the simple food options were done to an extremely low quality, and i'm a student so i don't exactly have high standards.
They seem to have forgotten that they are in fact IN FRANCE, but preferred to serve curry instead. When asking one of the cooks ( they are not chefs)he simply replied " all our clients are British". Even if this is true they seem to have lost the memory of their flight over to FRANCE!
DO NOT BOOK ROOM NUMBER 22! This room is right next to where the staff stay. This means that i was woken up numerous times, one notable time was by someone sing Miley Cyrus with a guitar- maybe if they had chosen their songs more carefully i wouldn't have minded so much. I also was awoken at about 3am with someone who genuinely thought my room was there one ( maybe one to many that night).
But apart from that great location and great staff!

Room Tip: DO NOT BOOK ROOM NUMBER 22! This room is right next to where the staff stay. This means that i was...

Well we visited in week one of this season and there were a few teething problems but nothing to shout about really. This year the new extension adds to the social area, a new sauna, steam room and swimming pool - well more like a freezing dip pool really. Also a new lift from the boot room to the bar area (not bedrooms),

Bedrooms are comfortable although all but 3 (part of the new extension) could do with a refresh. Be warned their are very sensitive smoke alarms outside bathrooms, so keep your bathroom door locked whilst showering otherwise you will be evacuating on a regular basis.

10 min slow walk to the sloops and you dont have to really on the buses. Close to town so a great location. Up a slight hill from the main circular road, in very cold weather watch the ice it can get very slippy.

All in all though a good chalet hotel. The staff this year from Alpine Express are great too.

Room Tip: We stayed in room two which is floor 5 near the stairs, you will hear the staff get up in the mornin...

Had an amazing week at Christmas, staff were lovely and very helpful, Paul, Susie, Louise and Rebecca! Food was good and a great variety, definitely recommend! Little bit out of the way of slopes but that is shown in cost, and a free bus is available!

Staff were super friendly and it was the perfect place for a week of skiing with friends. Food was good and the atmosphere was good as well, it is ideal for anyone who intends to spend the time they have in Val d'Isere out skiing/snowboarding and only use the hotel for relaxing/eating/sleeping.

The food experience has been a disaster, from breakfast to dinner. Lack of supervisor, no organisation during meals .We didn't have any glasses or water on the table when the food arrive and even after ordering the wine. The water for the tea wasn't hot enough... The staff seems to enjoy themselves more then the customers at the client expense.

Returned last week 3rd March after spending a week at the Gelinotte with my son.We didn't have any problems with sewage smells as mentioned by others but we weren't in the rooms concerned. The food was good and the rooms were fine and very clean. The only problem we found was the bedroom doors when being closed were noisy and so we were woken up a few times by guests coming in late. The staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more friendly or efficient.George the barman was really helpful and thanks to Emma for the loan of a knee brace and special thanks to Alex the driver for going beyond the call of duty and fastening my ski boots on several mornings! They were all a really great team. The location was good only a short walk to the centre and Alex ferried us in his minibus to and from the slopes which was only a few minutes away.We thought the hotel was good value as we got a good deal with a late booking and although its not plush in anyway it had everything we needed and was fine for us.

We stayed in room 11which was poor for a family of 3. The room was too small for 3 people, my son had no light to see his clothes, there was no storage , all our clothes were laid out on the floor underneath the bed, there was a terrible odour from the toilet and the bathroom was so small the toilet was crammed in i could not sit straight. I did speak to the rep discretely as we were in a party of 26 snc filled in a customer feedback form but a month later have not been contacted. Room 11 should not be sold as a family room . The food was ok, the staff good, alex particuarly impressive but room 11 ruined the holiday
