“wonderful garden”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

It´s all good and beautiful, with a lot of gorgeous trees, a canal in the middle with a few old stylish bridges, great.

“Uniquely wonderful walking”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Its one of those great allees for a quiet stroll any time of the day, preferably sunrise or sunset time. We stayed in an apartment right at the allee and therefore enjoyed walking on it for a number of times. Ancient trees, majestic villas along the quietly flowing river Oos and fine hotels and restaurants near the city make this allee one of the best places to walk in the world. Many ways comparable but different to the panoramic promenade between Vevey and Montreax in Switzerland.

“So incredibly beautiful”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Even if you are not big on walking , stroll then ! You really cannot go to Baden-Baden and NOT partake in a afternoon stroll on Lichententaler Allee. BIG , beautiful trees of every type imaginable line the way , sometimes even providing a canopy of sorts . There are some of the most majestic Oak, Chestnut, even Gingkos trees imaginable . Its so peaceful and so picturesque it will take your breath away . Very very romantic . Its approximately 2 km long , so after you have torched all those calories and worked up a healthy appetite from taking in all that good clean air , stop at one of the many restaurants in Baden-Baden , where you can get anything from Fine dining to McDonalds , or just a simply quaint café . There is an abundance to choose from . Lichtentaler Allee has been around for hundreds and hundreds of years and you really can allow yourself to be transported in time if you picture it . Artists, poets and authors have all been inspired and drawn inspiration from this incredible place so why would you miss seeing it ...especially when its FREE ?!

“Stunning park- perfect for a picnic”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

I visited Baden-Baden at the start of spring, when all the flowers and trees were in bloom. The park is a very beautiful walk just next to town. I went to one of the markets in town and picked up bread, cheese, fruits and sausages and had a lovely picnic here. There are always many people out here so it is a great place for a picnic and some European people-watching.

Just stunningly picturesque and a very classical European experience. Be sure to check out the rose garden too.
