The ride up was great, and the hike down to the bottom was very nice as well. We were able to see some wild boars. However, signs indicating how to get down to the parking lot were very confusing and we were lucky to be with experienced people who knew how to get down. We were really lucky and got to see people jumping off to start para-gliding at the top of the mountain as well!

Not a lot to add..cable car is great..meal at the top is average..too processed and out of a can for me. But they do have a copy of the menu in English..so ask for it.
The toilets are hard to find..you need to go inside. Probably easier to ask.

We decided to have lunch in Baden-Baden. With no specific destination in mind we decided to take the Bergbahn to the top & have lunch there. I am not sure if the woman selling tickets made a mistake but it was only 8€ for two adults & two children (ages 5 & 10). The views are lovely but the real treat is watching all of the people paragliding - this is a popular spot for launching. Kept my kids entertained until the food came. The restaurant is good. Nothing great & the prices are okay. If you are organized enough to pack your own lunch there were plenty of picnic tables. A very small playground - two swings & a slide with a wicked right angle turn. I would do this agin.

5 Euros. Nothing to lose here, as the view at the top is pretty ace. The trip up is nothing special, except the steep last 50 metres. Nothing like the thrill of the Hong Kong Furnicular for example.

But, on a good day, damn the view is gorgeous. Wish I had spent more time up there.
