I thoroughly enjoyed eating at this place. We had reserved a table - absolutely essential during December which was nicely tucked away in a warm cosy corner of the restaurant.
We were immediately offered a choice of English or German menus. If you don't speak German, you need to be aware that the "Specials" menu is not translated though.
If you can find space for it, one of the soups makes for an amazing starter. I had cream of chestnut which was astonishingly good.
Waiting staff were friendly although they could probably have made eye contact slightly more frequently. We would have stayed the same length of time but we'd have bought at least one extra round of drinks if they had!
There is a great selection of local wines and spririts here but the Ganter beer is something really special!
