Judging by the pictures on the website, I expected ample room size, a queen bed, and modern accommodations. While everything was new, super clean, and modern, the room (Room 18) was matchbox-tiny. Instead of a queen bed, there was a twin. The bed itself was do uncomfortable, I awoke one morning counting the number of days until my trip would be over. When I asked for a later room immediately after check-in, I was offered only a shrug and told there was nothing else.

Aside from these things, it's a grey location, great price, and safe.

Quite conveniently located at a 3 min walk from the old town and the main shopping / pedestrian street. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and sufficient for a weekend stay. If you've got a car there's a nearby car park where it's about 10 euros for 24hrs.
Overall a decent place to stay.

My wife picked this place, and the location was really good. The room size was comfortable (for Europe), and I don't have anything negative to say about my stay. This is a good place to stay if you are wanting to stroll down the main pedestrian area in Heidelberg.

The hotel photo here makes it look really nice, but you'll be staying in an apartment like room that is clean and comfortable.

I recently stayed at the Guesthouse while on business and unfortunately there were a few things that would cause me to stay elsewhere next time I'm there on business. The room was clean and the location very central. However the single room that was given to me was just too small for a week's stay on business. And unfortunately there is no wifi at all on the property so I could not use my iPad. And lastly there is no onsite parking at all. If I was on vacation and looking to save money it may be a good option but on business next time, I will need to find a more business friendly hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating and allowed me an early check-in which was appreciated.

Room tip: Ask for a room away from the busy front road.

Great location with Thiabautstrasse bus/tram stop about 10m from the front door. Bus number 32 will take you to/from the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof in about 5 mins for 1.10 Euro. One stop away from Bismarkplatz which is about 100m from hotel. Easy walk to river and into the old town.
I stayed in a studio apartment on the upper floor. Although I could hear the TV from the room next door it was otherwise quiet. Very spacious and modern feel. Clean and comfortable bed. Compact kitchen but great value for money being able to prepare meals.
Only downside was having to phone reception as I arrived on a weekend after 11 am. Having said that, my key was ready and the lady on the phone very helpful. Was not told that breakfast was provided in front of reception though. Looked nice!
