“Street performers were the best part”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

There were a large number of street performers both days of our trip in H'berg. They were entertaining. The bridge itself is ancient and the quality deserves to be appreciated.

“The Monkey”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

No traffic is allowed on the bridge which gives you the freedom to walk how ever pleases you. In the evening you can see a beautiful sunset by the Neckar river on the bridge.
Don't forget to put you're head up the monkey where the bridge begins.

“Beautiful bridge with beautiful views of Heidelberg!”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

The Carl Theodor Bridge is beautiful, with its 9 brick arches spanning the Neckar River and the two impressive sentinel towers with their lovely peaked domes on the Old Town end of the bridge. It is a pedestrian bridge, (although we did see one car on it being driven slowly). which makes for a very comfortable and pleasant walk from one side to the other while admiring the picturesque views of Heidelberg and the ruins of the schloss on the hill above the town. We enjoyed taking our time and stopping to enjoy the views!! Have your camera and/or video at the ready!

“Watching the green hills of the Castle”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

It reminded us of one bridge in Prague because in the bridge there are some spots considered to be religious and prone to praying. Walk both ways and admire the hills that surround Heidelberg. Really beautiful and inviting. Have a look at one of the river banks to check how famous and expensive some houses are. There are many art pieces nearby like a special baboon. Check the small "dam" and have a look to the list of floods all over the centuries. Some students and people like to read or study on the bridge.
