This hotel is in a perfect location. Christmas markets were a short walk away. Public transportation is close by but walking was just fine. The room was very clean and spacious. We had a room facing the street so had some typical street noise but nothing too bad. This was an over great experience for my husband and I on our trip to Germany.

I've been in this hotel a few times in the past and always found it very nice. Last time it was similar as usual: very friendly and warm check-in, with personnel seriously worried about me getting to Heidelberg late at night and waiting for me overtime to give me the keys of the room.

Location is perfect, very close to the pedestrian area.

Room was big, very spacious, and perfect internet connection. Decor might be improved, as furniture is a bit basic, but for the price, I do not complain.

Bathroom was big and nice.

Rooms are a little bit noisy, but at least mine was OK. Funny that hey give earplugs, never seen this in any hotel - I guess that can be a solution, but somehow I found that strange.

Breakfast was decent. not exceptional, but nice.

If this hotel would have a nice "bar/pub" where to have a beer or a whiskey with colleagues and friends after work, that'll probably be fantastic.

This is a good hotel with an excellent location, especially for the Christmas markets. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is plentiful (especially the pancakes!). It is across the street from public transportation.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street are very noisy. Ask for a room away from the street if possible.

The hotel is perfectly located just a short walk from Heidelberg tourist attractions. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, new furniture, private parking across the street for just 12 euro. There are very few things that may upset in this hotel and one of them is that the receptionist wears a "kind of traditional (???)" dress that overexposes her boobs - which makes impression that she works in another "profession" and makes guest feel uncomfortable while checking in/out. Poor English of the staff and really disturbing noise - not only from the street...

We visited Heidelberg for my birthday in May, for two nights. We stayed in a deluxe double room, which was wonderful. It was very large, and the bathroom was also very large. If you can spare the extra 20 Euros, I would recommend upgrading to the deluxe room. We stayed in the back of the hotel, so I can't comment on the noise from the bus station out front. I have mixed reviews for the hotel staff. Some were very friendly, and others were curt and short with us. My husband was able to communicate in German because when we checked in, the woman could barely communicate in English. But when we checked out, the employees were so friendly and helpful. I'd also complain about the parking. The website doesn't really give a good idea for parking, and there was also construction in the area, so we parked around the corner, a few blocks away in a normal parking garage. This may have been where we should have parked all along, but the website and official information wasn't very informative. Being near the bus and tram stops was very nice, and easy to get to the Castle. I wouldn't say its the BEST location because you still have to walk through the shopping area to the altstadt, but for the price and quality, it's probably the best you can do. If we visit Heidelberg again, we will try to stay here again. There's a great little wine bar a few doors down, and we were within close walking distance to the river.

My second ever visit to Heidelberg was a true nightmare. Starting with the dreadful reception staff at this hotel, some young girl in a red dress greeted us. She had some extremely low-cut decolt dress with over exposed boobs and poor English. The incompetent reception staff have earlier answered our telephone call when we asked about parking the car near the hotel. They told us to we can stop on the street near entrance and they will then direct us to the car park. What they failed to mention was that the street was being dug up as new tram tracks were being laid. Stopping anywhere near the hotel was impossible and the noise was alarming. This was just the start to our Nightmare Stay at this awful hotel. Sleep was simply impossible. The heat in the rooms was way too high, but opening the windows was not an option given the dust and noise from the road works right outside! And, the hotel management's answer to the noise outside (including all throughout the Friday night, non-stop!) was: to provide ear plugs. What cheek! Any decent hotel should have informed visitors of the noise ahead of any bookings, thus ensuring their reputation does not suffer from poor reviews such as this one. If the road works were limited just to one weekend, then being honest with the incoming tourists would have saved in the long run on the damage I hope my review will do to this poor, unfriendly hotel management. You just can't charge full price for a sleepless night!

The location of this hotel at a busy intersection in Heidelberg is great for going on a walkabout. The rooms are small, very clean, comfortable and what else do you need. An excellent breakfast is provided with the expected German efficiency. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is available about 150 metres away and easy to drive to.
