“Center of town, quiet rooms”

The hotel was located in the center of town with great access to the Alstadt. Was concerned about the noise with all the traffic, but was pleasantly surprised how sound proof the windows were. Very helpful front desk staff!

We recently spent a weekend at the Bayrischer Hof and were pleased with our choice. The hotel is a short tram or bus ride from the train station and walking distance from the Old Town, although it was a bit of a trek to the castle. Most trams and buses stop at Bismarktplatz which is just across the street and if you book the Frankfurt airport shuttle it stops at the Crowne Plaza just around the corner. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready until after 5pm (normal check in is 4pm) but we got a complimentary ice cream on arrival which was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and wear traditional costumes which was a novelty.

The room was large with an extremely large, comfortable bed and the shower was excellent. The room got very hot as there is no air con but they had put a large free-standing fan in our room for us. There was noise from the street but that didn't bother us too much, after a long day we slept through it. Breakfast was served between 7-10 am (7.30 at weekends) and was the usual buffet fare with tea/coffee served by the staff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if I visited Heidelberg in the future.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and efficient. Breakfast was of a normal hotel buffet standard. My only complaint was the amount of noise from the street - I could only sleep by using the air conditioning unit to make enough white noise to mask the street sounds.

Dear Honisoiquimalypense,

thank you for the good recommendation.

I am a Little sad, that our performance seems to be well at all and your statement in points (two of five) says not.

We are very central in a town. There are cars, Trams.... short: Live! You won't be nearer to the town than staying with us with all it's pulsive live all around.

Yours,

Dieter

The apartments are modern and clean as a whistle. Loved the retractable blinds - completely darkened the room and still allowed air to flow through, which is really nice in the heat.

A little noisy on our side of the hotel as it overlooked the bars and cafes, but we knew that.

The car park is unique.

Room Tip: Pick a room that doesn't overlook the bars and cafes.

This is a very friendly comfortable hotel in which I enjoyed staying. The staff are brilliant and the hotel is clean, bright and spacious. It is also in a good location in the middle of the town and is therefore easy to get to.

Room Tip: Close your window before going to sleep as it can get very noisy outside with traffic and people sho...

Hotel is located across a busy road from the Aldstadt and the main trourist shopping areas. It is a great spot for seeing the City as all busses and trains stop just across the road from the hotel. Check in is 4pm (a bit of a drag if you turn up early), however, reception was very frieldly, helpful and informative. Reception is bright and the hotel has lifts and free WiFi.

We had room 102 that looked down onto one of the man roads in the area and it was noisy as trams roll by all the time (the hotel even supplies guests with ear plugs). Room was nice and clean and modern, with a large double bed, fridge, desk , fan (no A/C), plus tea/coffee makings. When we were there it was very hot and the fan could not cut it and leaving the windows open was not an option.

Toilet was modern and bright.

Breakfast was in the basement and was excellent - it was a mix of continental and buffet (hot). Service was very efficient. One morning they had a "Bavarian" breakfast, complete with wurst, mustard and beer!!

All in all the location is worth the noise - which is not bad with ear plugs in.

Room Tip: If possible get a room that faces inwards as the hoel sits on a very bust corner.

Bismarckplatz is right in front of the hotel. That means it is near main traffic tie-ups and the main touristic streets.
To enjoy your stay in the hotel I will recommend you to pick a room open on the street, not a patio. Because of a cook-house's smell is measurable.
It provides a potential to stay with pets - what a lovely puppy we met!
And I want to thank the girls at the reception desk and breakfest for being so attentive.
