We stayed in this hotel in May 2012. The hotel is better than it first appears from the street. It is in an older building that fronts on a busy thoroughfare. The reception area is uninspiring and the lift is small, typical of an older building.
The receptionist was delightful and offered information about the city and provided a map of the inner city. The hotel is located within an easy walking distance to the inner city and the gardens.
Our room was toward the rear of the building, with a window on a quiet alley. With the window open, we heard no traffic noise. The room was small and did not receive a lot of light through the one window. However, the room was brightly painted, neat, clean, and decorative. The furnishings in the room were neat and gave the appearance of being well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The room contained a press for pants, adequate storage space for clothing, a flat screen TV, and wood flooring.
The furnishings in the bathroom appeared to be new. The bathroom contained a hairdryer, a weight scale, and more than adequate towels. The lighting, however, was not the best in the bathroom
The breakfast rooms were brightly lit, brightly colored, large, and pleasantly decorated. The breakfast buffet was quite nice, with tasty and plenty offerings.
On balance, the hotel was perfectly suited to our needs for a short stay.More
