This is OK for 1 or 2 nights, and is convenient for the station. It's more like the German equivalent of a british pub restaurant with rooms above. You could say the whole place has character, or it's in need of refurbishment. The room was accessed through a narrow stairway, or through the use of the ancient elevator. If you are carrying heavy luggage, there is one step between the ground floor and the elevator. I stayed in a room on the floor above the restaurant, but there was no internal noise. There was quite a lot of noise from the street though, which was busy most of the night. The light in the room was quite dim, but there was a separate desk light and a bedside light. There is free wi-fi, which you have to register to use. There were three coat hangers in the wardrobe, but I'm sure I could have asked for more. The bathroom has a shower and was clean. The shower head could have done with the screw tightening on the bracket so it didn't keep drooping, but the water was hot. None of the floors had any carpet, so were cold to walk on. Breakfast was a fairly standard continental type, with cheese, meats, bread, rolls, yoghurt, fruit, and coffee. The staff I spoke to all spoke English. I have stayed in far better places, but would stay here again if I had to.
