The hotel is very outdated with old furniture all over. I had booked a single room and it was very disappointing. I was on the 1st floor and the carpet smelled with smoke and i couldn't switch of heat in the room!! I woke up in middle of the night from the heat that i had to open the window. Because of that i heard the freeway nearby so i couldn't sleep for an hour. The matrass and pillow is of poor quality so if you have back problems like me, your wrecked! Maybe a minor thing but it bothered me, there was no toilet brush. I went to complain next day about the smell and heat and it was no problem to change my room. Sadly the matrass and pillow were same bad quality. Breakfast was ok depending on what you're use to. It was not poor but definitely not in the range that i am use too. The room key is absurd big but original, but to big to put in your pocket of your pants. Wifi works but is not recommendable business wise. The connection is not strong enough. Personnel is very friendly. The hotel is in very nice neighborhood. Straight next to the well known shopping street with lots of restaurants etc. If you want to be in the center this is definitely recommendable, if you have no high standards for hotel. I can't speak for a double room, but i will not be back to this hotel. Definetly no 4 star hotel!!!

Room Tip: Even though i changed my room after one night from 1st floor to the 3rd, i would not recommend this...

Well, you expect 4 stars but besides that room is big and breakfast is expensive you wont feel that it is one. best thing is the Location in the city. Holes in Bed Sheets, Furniture that you will not buy at the Flea Market gives you the feeling that a new investor should come.

Yes ,what is good ,that hotel is in the center of the city ,but rooms are very dark ,beds are very narrow , hot water in the shower you should wait 10 or more minutes.Smell also not so fresh in the rooms.Carpets on the walls in voridpr are more than strange :) Breakfast very poor. But is good thing ,that few minutes to the center of he city.So , for one night it's possible to stay ,but.....

Good things:
- location, in the center of the city
- clean in the rooms

Bad things:
1. carpet on walls even in coridor, even in rooms, it looks very strange.
2. Smell in rooms, some people smoke in the rooms
3. old fashionable design, from modern style from 80-th. Be ready ))

Room Tip: Ask to show you some of room, you can choose by this way

I was booked into this hotel by my German distributor and didn't even think to read about it before checking in. I was quite shocked upon arrival as the hotel is a throwback to the early '70's. The staff are very attentive. I had to change rooms as the first room that I was put in didn't have internet access. They then put me in a suite. The decor was straight out of the late '60's early '70's with brass knobs and tacky furnishings. Everything was spotless. The king size bed was very comfortable. Even though the room was nice and clean, the internet access was horribly slow (dial-up slow). The breakfast was excellent and the staff, once again, impeccable. The bar is also a throwback to '60's lounges. I found the place kitsch although I don't think that's their intention.

I only have one night at this hotel, and this was during a very busy period of a festival and a celebration of the reunification of Germany. My room was in the annex to the main hotel, and this often can mean not very nice. As it was.... the room was a little dated but extremely comfortable, and a meal in the restaurant was delicious, I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Room Tip: try to avoid the annex the main hotel feels nicer

This hotel is perfect if you need a neat & clean place for the night. It's location is also excellent , at the end of Konnigstrasse with plenty of restaurants and eateries nearby. Very close to the Hauptbahnhof as well. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
