In the sleepy suburb of Vaihingen, you will be able to find this semi-authentic restaurant located inside the Swabian Galerie, where my family sat down for a square meal.

The staff and cook are Mainland Chinese, but you wouldn't know it from some of the clientele - seriously, I saw a table of German ladies drinking beers and having schnapps.

The food looked semi-edible, that is if you can get over the fact that they do not serve any live fish due to German regulations. Aside from that, the restaurant had a good ambiance and was modestly priced. I don't eat Chinese food when I'm out of China, and it doesn't look like I missed out on much here either. The high rating is for the quality of the food and atmosphere relative to the rest of the meager competition in Stuttgart.

I did not have such a bad experience in a Chinese place in a long time. The service was friendly and the portions were big. The food tasted horrible, no matter what. All the sauces were based on starch (lots of), had no real Chinese taste. The sauce for the Thai curry dish and one chinese dish where exactly the same - just a bit different in color.
The meat was heavily treated with meat tenderizers, also lots of MSG in all dishes.

The taste was,not to be unfair, quite good.I went for the buffet and tried most of the dishes available with no complaints or what so ever, especially the duck was quite delicious.
However, the staff were really unfriendly and slow, there was no one to seat me so i went in and pick a table sat there and was subject to the waiters deathly looks when he discovered i didnt wait for him to seat me.When i asked for the bill,a lady brought it to me,i put the money in and asked the first waitress i saw to take it and he told me to wait for the lady in a really arrogant way.

To conclude, good taste but didnt enjoy the place because of the staffs attitude.

Came across this restaurant while waiting for the cinema. They had a buffet on for 15 euros. I had the buffet and my fellow diner just had a starter and egg fried rice. The buffet was pretty extensive with salad soups and various dishes. You could also get stuff cooked to order. Some dishes were quite salty, including the egg fried rice. Not bad if you fancy a meal prior to going to the movies at the Korso cinema which is pretty close by. All in all not the best Chinese food but certainly not the worst.

Was staying in Mo Hotel round the corner. Had dinner here. Opted for the, extensive, buffet. Had a little of lots of different things and enjoyed them all. They keep the buffet frequently refreshed so did not experience anything that appeared to have been left out for a long time. Service interaction is lower with a buffet, but was very pleasant and efficient in removing plates, ensuring we had drinks etc. Decor is very impressive to this European eye. Value for money seemed good at the time (around 20 Euro) and spectacular now as my next stop was Stockholm. If staying in the area again I would go back.
