This place is obviously popular as it is always full with people. Not very traditional, but right in the heart of Ulm's Fisherman's Quarter (Fischer Viertal). This place is full of locals. It has a few different rooms - includes a bar, a restaurant and more dining seating in an outdoor area. Food is OK - pizza - not very German.

I came here with a friend for a quiet drink in the bar once and the music was so loud, it was difficult to hear each other.

The outdoor area is great during the summer months for afternoon drinks or an evening meal.

I wouldn't come back here in a hurry as there are loads of other traditional German restaurants within the vicinity but it's always worth one trip.

Visited this restaurant twice during a recent trip to Ulm, and both times we were very happy with the service and food. There is outside seating, which is perfect because you are in the very pretty Fischviertal part of Ulm, and we also ate dinner upstairs inside the restaurant, which was again very nice. For lunch we had the mushroom salad, which was great. The service was always friendly and efficient. Will return here for sure if I ever go back to Ulm.

Three waitresses who seem incapable of noticing a customer. Too bas, I haven't been back since. Do yourself a favour and head for the Rats Keller or almost any other restaurant.

The best restaurant we went during our stay in Ulm. Good variety of dishes with afordable prices. Very lovely seating places outside, inside and in a small, cozy terrace. Great staff and surroundings. I warmly recommend this restaurant! Their speciality are thin crusted pizzas served from a wooden plank :)

Looking for a place for drinks and dinner in Ulm's Fisher Viertel we stopped in at Zum Wilden Mann because it looked really interesting. We expected to eat here but as we walked in they explained that they would close for a private party at 7PM, so we were welcome to have a drink or something fast until then (it was quite early--around 6PM). We decided we didn't want to rush, so we had a drink at the bar and checked the place out, which seemed pretty cool. Extensive bar drink menu, with a collection of numerous biere, a lot of wine by the glass choices (don't get the house red, its attractively cheap but really funky) and cool cocktails. The menu ranges from appetizers to typical local entrees like schweine schnitzel (I would have tried the Pork Cordon Bleu) and has a large selecton of Flammekuchen. We saw a lot of these going by during our hour and they looked and smelled really good. Great choice late or for a light dinner. TONS of atmosphere.
