It was an uncharacteristically warm day in Garmisch or we would have certainly dined inside - everyone was having a great time singing inside but it was stifling hot. We needed to wait for them to prepare a table for us on the patio and were encouraged to walk around a bit. After a short stroll our table was ready. Our waitress, a very small gal with piercings and tattoos, seemed to not especially enjoy attending to us - maybe she doesn't like Americans or maybe she just doesn't like being a server! Anyway, we were polite and ordered a nice meal. It seems like this is the kind of place that really focuses on a main course as it was difficult to find a starter other than salads. The food was served in an off-hand way and was really nothing special - large portions.
The entire reason for giving this a rating of three (instead of lower) was the accordion player - he played with a smile on his face even though it was evident that he was way too hot. He made the experience fun in spite of our horrible waitress and the ordinary food. We clapped for him at the end of every song because he deserved our approval. Best part of the evening by far!
