We were looking for a budget property in Garmisch and thought that this property would fit out needs. The rooms were adequate and clean so we thought, ok, this will be fine. The beds were so hard and the pillows so thin that no one in our party slept well for the entire stay. The "internet out of order" sign appears to be permanent although we were told both days that "it will be working tomorrow." We did manage to log on but the signal was so weak, a connection could not be sustained. The reception staff was all business. They knew about all the extra charges and how to take the bus into town but could not say anything about the roads or make recommendations for meals. You will have to travel into town for shopping and food, either driving, taking the bus, or a long walk. The breakfast was average and the coffee was barely drinkable. Parking is crowded and it is difficult to find a space later in the evening. I would recommend another property.

Our room was clean and comfortable, if a little on the basic side. It had a balcony, from which we could just about see the Alps. The one minor issue was that we sometimes struggled to get the key to work in the lock. Location-wise, it is not too far from the shops and restaurants in Partenkirchen (Ludwigstrasse), but a bit of a walk from the station and Garmisch. There is a bus, for which the hotel gave us a free ticket and a timetable, but we found it did not run very frequently. We paid extra for breakfast which was good value for money. The breakfast room was straight out of the 1960s. I expect somebody will renovate it at some point, but I hope they do not. On the whole reasonable value for money. I would have given it 3.5 out of 5 if I had been able.

The room was bright and had a nice balcony to it. If you get a single room though and there are two people they will charge you extra for a second pillow. It's a single after all. My favorite hotel during my trip to Germany.

First and foremost, this is a good hotel for those on a budget who doesn't mind walking (for a long while) or taking the (free for tourists) city bus to get anywhere. At least there are two mini-markets within a 10-min range walking...
The property is simple, with limited service at late hours, and no amenities that I can recall. Very no-fuss on the service front. Unless one is willing to pay the taxi ride, arriving at late night is not recommended since it is a long walk from the train station and buses run on a limited schedule.
The room had a very good size, with a balcony facing the entry and with limited views of the mountain range, a reasonably sized bathroom and average beds. Due to its size the heater took some time to bring the temperature to a confortable range - stayed in September, and it might get somewhat cold during winter.
Recommended only if one is on a very limited budget. Won't stay there again since the location is inconvenient.

Traveling with my husband and 20 year old brother this was a good economical stay for two nights with basic accommodations while exploring the area. There was plenty of space for all three of us to sleep comfortably.

This hotel is a good budget option for anyone wishing to ski in the Garmisch area. Prices are very competitive and inline with the hotel facilities.
As its a little further from town center it would suit those with a car. However the bus stops 50m from the hotel which takes you into town or to the train station. You also get a free bus pass from the hotel for the duration of your stay. Buses run frequently so you will not have a problem.
Rooms are very large for the price range. And include a balcony big enough for 4 people to easily sit outside.
Bathrooms are small and if you are a larger person you may find it tricky getting between the toilet and shower.
Rooms are clean.
Rooms did not include a fridge or kettle which was a little disappointing - especially for longer stays. Luckily its cold enough to keep things on the balcony. Considering there is no fridge it would have been nice to have had a room service option available.
There is a sauna but they only turn on by request so we never bothered.
Ski cellar was convenient.
It was a little noisy with people walking through corridors and on the floors above you.
Staff were always friendly and helpful.
Great value for a no frills hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far away form the hall entry doors on each level.

I will try to make this as accurate as possible, hope it helps..
Location.. It's .8 of a mile from banhof where the ski bus and train leave from, and a bit more to the centre of Garmisch.. it's a good 15 min walk. There are some restaurants near by but very limited.
The hotel..rooms are large well furnished, bathroom tiny but ok, modern and functional. The beds are hard as wood, even wood would have been more comfy. I did not ask to have them changed as it was 3 nights and did not feel like the hassle if they said no..but I did ask for more pillows which they gave me. Breakfast is limited and not particualy good except the bread, lots of
"plastic" cheese, salami and watered down orange juice, 2 types of eggs, boiled frankfurters, cereals were ok. They wait for something to run out befre replacing.
The lift does not work after 11pm !!!,
All the drinks except the beer ran out in the vending machine from the first day and were never replaced, do not count on them for esp for water, go to the supermarket close by.
All in all it's not bad for the price as long as you don't mind a walk, I would not stay here again I
would be closer to town next time. Taxi is €8 to town.

Room Tip: Ask for a 1st floor room, the lift does not work after 11pm!!! Get closer to the banhof if your s...
