This is I think the third, or maybe the fourth time we have stopped off here on our way east for our long break.
Although this year, the staff seemed to be different, we had the same multi-lingual, friendly, efficient, level of service we have come to expect from this chain in Germany.
The breakfast area has been re-vamped, very comfortable and bright, although it seems to be slightly down on places for an 80? room hotel..... how would it have coped with the very well behaved coach party of Polish schoolchildren we shared it with this time last year,.. I'm not sure! One word of warning for those with a larger waistline....avoid the high tables, or at least the seats next to the wall!
Still, the breakfast selection was up to the usual Etap (sorry) Ibis Budget German standard. No complaints there.
Yes, the front of the hotel overlooks the A3,as can be seen clearly on google earth, but if this is a problem for you, it does not take the wit of a wizard to request a back room....
Oh, and I think I said last year, the Italian around the corner offers very good value for money.
Don't order a pizza if you are not very hungry!
Right next to A3 and lots of people talking right outside the bedroom window all through the night - otherwise very good.
Check out the local Pizzeria and the Bakery opposite as an alternative for breakfast.
