“Wonderful stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2013

We stayed for two nights at this fantastic hotel during our spring break as a family. It was much colder than expected, and it definitely wasn't peak season, so the hotel wasn't very full which benefited us greatly! Upon arrival the staff somehow knew who we were and was very welcoming. We even were upgraded automatically! Our "room" was actually a large bedroom, a bathroom, and a separate living area. The views were spectacular, and depending on which window you looked out of you could see Castle Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein.
One of the most memorable nights of our entire week stay in Germany was while we were having a delicious dinner at Hotel Mueller. We were sat in a beautiful glassed-in room with a view of Neuschwanstein Castle and it began to snow while we were eating a great meal. Awesome.
Room was extremely comfortable, service was great, and food was yummy. We would go back there in a heartbeat!

Returned to this hotel after 10 years to find it fully renovated. Top class spacious rooms with lovely views of the castles and mountains. Excellent buffet breakfast. Parking and wifi available free of charge. Castle visit booking possible at the reception - avoiding lengthy queues.

Room Tip: Rooms in the new wing are fully refurbished. Corner rooms have a view of Neuschwanstein castle,.

The location and view were spectacular. It is a quiet sleepy town at night, but with a view to both castles that cannot be beat. If you are in the area to see the hotels this is the best place to stay. Dinner and breakfast were terrific, too.

The hotel is wonderfully situated between the two castles that is the reason to visit Hohenschwangua and does have parking on site which will definitely be appreciated on a crowded day. Our room was larger than expected with a wonderful patio overlooking the small town. The hotel made all the arrangements for our visit to both castles, gave great advice as to when to go to avoid the busloads of tour groups and generally made the entire stay enjoyable. We had a lovely dinner our first night there with great service. The hotel personnel completely understands that its location optimizes customer visits and the entire staff provides exceptional service with a smile.

Hotel Mueller is all about location location location. I didn't realise just how close we would be to Neuschwanstein Castle when we booked this hotel. Whilst the hotel is a little bit older and dated in style, the room was comfortable, service excellent and hotel food very good. Parking is available at the hotel for guests and the hotel itself is located right within a very busy tourist hub for the Castle.

Room Tip: Get the horse and cart up to the castle and buy your castle entrance tickets from the hotel, crowds...

We drove in at night and were treated to a gorgeous view of the lighted castles. The hotel is in the most convenient location to view the two castles.

Upon check in (after 9 pm) we were delighted to learn that the hotel would order the tickets for us and we could pick them up in the morning!

The hotel was clean and cute, but the rooms could have be nicer. Although, this is most likely a one night stay for most people so I suppose the room does not need to be a luxury one.

We did sleep with the window open since it was a bit warmer than we expected and we could hear occasional conversations as people walked by.

**Note, we were there on a Friday in September and they hold concerts in Neuschwanstein on Friday and Saturday nights. We were too late to attend, but it would be worth going back for.

The hotel is located right at the base of Neuschwanstein so it makes it very convenient. Parking is included for hotel guests, so you can save some $$. The hotel staff is friendly and was wonderfully helpful, conversing easily in English. We were fortunate enough to have tickets for a Wagner Opera in the Sangersaal in the Castle. (One week in September every year there are live performances). The room was adequate and spotless. Breakfast was a nicely done buffet and was included in the room. This is a great hotel to stay at to get a jump on visiting the castle in the morning before the stream of tour buses start to arrive.
