“Love it!”

The location of this hotel is just at the base of where the two castles are. There are only probably 4 hotels ( might be wrong ) at the base and hotel muller got to be the best. They offer free parking which is a bonus as most places can charge up to 2 euros am hour and there is a horse carriage stop just outside the hotel entrance.
You can get the hotel staff to purchase the tickets to the castle on your behalf rather than waiting in line for the tickets. By the way, the ticket counter is just outside of the hotel too. There won't be any places open for dinner so be sure to make dinner reservations at the hotel. Food was good.
Breakfast comes with the price you pay for the room. Standard German breakfast.
The staff all spoke good English and was ever ready to assist. We had a welcome plate full of delicious cookies at our room which we thought was quite nice.
The rooms are newly renovated but still kept the feel of houses like during king Ludwig which was nice. We stayed in room 37 which was unique as we had our own walk way before reaching our main room. The bed room is separated from the walk in wardrobe and toilet. The bed was comfortable and everything was just perfect. The smell of wood was really nice too.
Free wifi.
Basic hotel amenities provided but you may need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner as those were not provided. Only liquid soap.

Our room also faced one of the castle which was so amazing as we could still see the castle at night and early when we woke up. Our room was at the side of the main road so we were not awoken by any Main Street noises or buses or cars or people walking. So that was great!

The price paid is abit on a steep side but if you are looking for quality and convenience and a once in a life time experience, then you have to stay at Hotel Muller.

It's like staying in a fairy tale.

We spent two nights here as a base from which to visit the Castles. We chose the Castle Package, which included a large comfortable room overlooking Neuschwanstein Castle, a very good five course dinner, breakfast each day (reasonably good), entry to the Castles and a horse carriage ride up the hill. The staff were very helpful and everything was in order. The room was very good, a great size with separate sitting and sleeping areas and with access to a large balcony from which to see Neuschwanstein Castle (we could also see it from our room). Our room was on the Main Street side and noise carried a bit but it was pretty quiet til about 8am in any case. There was however some noise one morning with some kids running around on the floor above us from 7am and we could hear that pretty clearly. Staying in the village made it easier than traipsing in and out.

We stayed for 2 nights in December. What a great location for a visit to the Castles. If your arriving by train, it's easy to get to Hotel Müller. There is a bus outside the train station that will take you to Hohenschwangau, and from there it is a few minutes walk to the Hotel. Quiet area at night, not many choices to eat dinner at, but you could always eat dinner at the Hotel. We did both nights and found it pleasant. To Hohenschwangau castle, the path is right behind the Hotel. About a 10 minute walk. To Neuschwanstein castle it is about a 50 minute walk up hill or you can take a carriage. The carriage line forms outside Hotel Müller. We stayed in a room facing the front road which became very noisy in the morning from Tourists lining up. The room was quite comfortable. Breakfast while standard, but good and plentiful.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the front road will be noisy in the morning.

Friendly staff, excellent location, great service and comfortable rooms. We stayed for two nights and had a great time. Everything is in walking distance and the carriages to Neischwanstein Castle depart right from the front door.

We stayed for two nights at this fantastic hotel during our spring break as a family. It was much colder than expected, and it definitely wasn't peak season, so the hotel wasn't very full which benefited us greatly! Upon arrival the staff somehow knew who we were and was very welcoming. We even were upgraded automatically! Our "room" was actually a large bedroom, a bathroom, and a separate living area. The views were spectacular, and depending on which window you looked out of you could see Castle Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein.
One of the most memorable nights of our entire week stay in Germany was while we were having a delicious dinner at Hotel Mueller. We were sat in a beautiful glassed-in room with a view of Neuschwanstein Castle and it began to snow while we were eating a great meal. Awesome.
Room was extremely comfortable, service was great, and food was yummy. We would go back there in a heartbeat!

Returned to this hotel after 10 years to find it fully renovated. Top class spacious rooms with lovely views of the castles and mountains. Excellent buffet breakfast. Parking and wifi available free of charge. Castle visit booking possible at the reception - avoiding lengthy queues.

Room Tip: Rooms in the new wing are fully refurbished. Corner rooms have a view of Neuschwanstein castle,.

The location and view were spectacular. It is a quiet sleepy town at night, but with a view to both castles that cannot be beat. If you are in the area to see the hotels this is the best place to stay. Dinner and breakfast were terrific, too.
