I did enjoy my stay in Vi Vadi Hotel for one night. The location near Main traim station less than 1 Km. clean room. On main street so you have easy access to cafes and resturants. Good WiFi service. I do recommend this hotel for others and I will stay here again.

We needed a place to stay for one night in Munich and it happened to be the last night of Octoberfest so it was difficult to get a reservation anywhere and I took what I could get. The Vi Vadi was close to the station and despite not arriving until nearly 10pm we were met by friendly staff, our room was in fact a very roomy studio with kitchen and sofa bed for our son and the restaurant was still serving and busy despite the late hour. Checkout was not until 12 and the staff were really helpful in storing our luggage for free and allowing us full use of the lounge etc throughout the day as our next train was not until 11pm. If you are looking for a clean functional centrally located hotel with a really pleasant and enthusiastic young staff team then I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

It's good for the price. Great loation in walking distance to the main station. Very friendly staff. The rooms are bit small but comfy and very quiet. In walking distance or just one subway station to the Okotberfest.

We stayed in this hotel as part of our BeerTrips.com tour and it was a great location for visiting Octoberfest 2013. The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the Hauptbahnhof station. The room was a good size and very clean with a nice bathroom and corner shower. There was also a small kitchen. Breakfast was available as part of our tour in the Italian restaurant next door.

We also went to the Alte Pinothek art museum in our free time and it was only about 15 minutes walking.

The only negatives - it was pretty warm while we were in Munich and leaving the window open at night was pretty noisy as our room faced the front of the hotel. The lift is small and pretty slow so checking in with a group was a long process. If you weren't in a group I think using the lift for getting your luggage to your room would be fine.

My husband and I stayed here Sept 1-10 and found it to be a very good basic hotel for anyone not looking for luxury. The staff were all very helpful and polite and everything is kept very clean. Our room was always spotless, but the pillows are terrible flat pancakes. Just ask for a couple extra at the front desk, they were very cool about giving us extra towels, pillows and a fan since our room got pretty hot in the afternoon. We stayed at the front of the building on the 5th floor and the street noise was still pretty loud. It was a non-smoking floor, but the floor directly below us allowed smoking. There were a few days the people below us would hang out the window yelling and smoking which came right into our windows. The staff offered to move us, but it was the tail end of our stay and we didn't want to bother, so we kept the windows closed (hence the extra fan). We never bothered with the breakfast buffet, but the italian restaurant downstairs was excellent. Service was great and the pizzas were fantastic, reasonable prices too. Our only other complaint about the hotel would be the Wi-Fi. We usually couldn't get a signal at all and when we did it was very spotty. I don't usually worry about email or any of that while I'm on vacation, but some people choose a hotel based on that and its not fair to claim free wi-fi if the connection is nearly impossible. The location is the main reason to stay here, its about a 3 minute walk to the central train station and about 20 minutes to Marienplatz. Most tours leave from the train station, so its very nice being so close. The kitchenette was convenient, however the minibar was only restocked a couple times and then they quit replacing things even after we left requests.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay here again if we ever go back to Munich. Its a good value for your money, but be realistic in your expectations, its the Vi Vadi, not the Hilton.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back of the hotel so you don't get the hot afternoon sun cooking your room.
