The hotel is located a short walk from the main train station ( about 5-10minutes) and I would agree with other raters that the neigbourhood is not the best. The local appears to be muslim in the majority .However we walked through it several times and had absolutely no issues. If you are to attend the Octoberfest then this hotel is for you .The fest area is just around the corner.
Positives -The room was clean and tidy ,as was the toilet and shower. In fact I think the bathroom must have been recently renovated -excellent.
We asked for a room at the back of the hotel so street noise was not an issue.
The staff were friendly and very helpful so full marks there.
Breakfast is plentiful and varied.
wireless Internet access must be paid for but at €3.5 a night it is a bargain compared to some other hotels.
If you do need refreshment in your room ,there is no mini bar but a selection of water, juices and wine are available in the room .The prices were acceptable ( €2 for a bottle of water and €3.5 for the wine)
Getting to the centre of Munich is easy and will take about 10 minutes.
Negatives -not many but
The rooms could do with a room safe.
The bar did not have any white wine available when we were there so perhaps more attention needs to be taken in this area.
Finally there is no toaster in the morning .Perhaps a niggly thing but I love my toast in the mornings.I am sure many others are the same.
Overall good value
