On one had, we all really loved this hotel. The location is probably the most central in all of Munich. However, the previous posts discuss the lack of Air Conditioning, which is only an issue of course if its warm. Luckily, for us, the highs were only about 80F on the days we were in Munich, with evening lows in the 60's F. Even with this being a relatively cool night, sleeping was an issue for us. It was too hot to sleep with the windows closed, but then you only have a couple of hours of quiet, as the bar goers stop singing around 2 AM and the vendors start setting and deliveries start up at 6 AM. I think the first night, we were not tired enough and we literally slept a couple of hours. As the trip went on, we got more tired from lack of sleep and started sleeping better. I'd still probably not stay here again in the summer. Maybe the winter, but definitely not the summer. Finally, one improvement that would really help are some better mattress pads. We have a college son and I'd swear that the mattress is identical. All this being said, the hotel is a budget hotel and maybe I shouldn't expect more. However, I just think with a couple of changes, this place could be a home run for the value and location.
