“beautiful area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

It's a beautiful area with so many restaurants all around. We tried Block House restaurant, and it was absolutely amazing. There's also the Englisher garden which is simply a piece of heaven on earth. With this huge lake and some beer gardens on one side. it's amazingly beautiful and so romantic.

“The Berlin of Munich”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2013

Coming to Schwabing very much reminded me of Berlin, in that it had the same sort of cultural points. It has some amazing antique shops, in particular Japanalia (I think that is what it's called), selling Japanese antiques. If I lived nearby, I would have leaned the shop put. Great place to walk about, nice cafe culture.

“Neighbourhood with many faces”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2013

Schwabing is a neighbourhood you can easily spend a full day, just strolling around, discovering plenty of nice restaurants, cafes, shops. Look at all the people strolling by. The Leopoldstrasse runs right through the middle of it, and is, in my opinion the least attractive bit.

“ Lively out of hours”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2013 via mobile

If you're looking for evening bar-culture, and can't take another beer cellar, visit Schwabing. Walk around and you'll find some nice, upscale but young and friendly bars.

“I Heart Schwabing”

It's a cute little area with cute shops and nice alternative restaurants.

Türkenstrasse has some lovely organic cafes and bars if you are health conscious :)
