We booked the family room for 4 nights and were all happy with our stay here. Great location which is very near to the Munich train station, and not far from the main attractions.
The room is very clean and spacious. Staff is also friendly and offers useful information during our stay. The breakfast was good with quite a wide variety to choose from.

The only downside was the free wifi signal is very weak in our room and we could only access the wifi at the lobby.

A good stay for few nights and would return to this hotel if we ever visited Munich again.

Stayed here with 17 others on a stag do. Staff were grumpy and not very friendly.

Hotel was clean and comfortable.

Location is not the best but at no time did we feel unsafe.

All in all its fine but you may want to stay closer to marienplatz.

We are very sorry, that you felt that our staff was unfriendly. We apologize that. It is also sometimes quite difficult to handle a stag party. Concerning your group we was also unhappy with broken glass deco at our lobby when party returned to the hotel tipsy.

The hotel is located a few blocks from the train station and only a few blocks further to the Oktoberfest park. Alstadt sights and shopping are also only a few blocks away. The staff is very friendly. English is spoken. The breakfast was great. A large variety and adequate quantities during a very busy time. The breakfast ladies were fantastic.
The room itself was a very nice size for 3 people and it was quiet. The only complaint is that on the second night the bed slats kept sliding out of place causing the bed to sink. Hubby & I shared half a bed. When I complained I was blown off. I feel that I paid for beds for 3 and only got 2. But they knew we were stuck because hotels were full due to the Oktoberfest.

Stayed for two nights in Munich recently on a stag do. They allowed us to obtain rooms when we initially arrived which was around midday. Rooms which weren't ready basically put bags in other rooms. Room was tidy clean basic and easily located as it was by the lift. Friendly staff and good security around hotel. Convenient location as only 10 min walk from centre and walled part of city. However a lot of men clubs in the area so may put some people off.

We stayed here recently for a weekend during Oktoberfest. It is only a few mins walk from the central train station and the festival grounds so it was an ideal location. The room we got was huge, clean and modern, the breakfast was also really good

The staff at the Brunnenhof were very friendly and helpful, happy to converse in English or German. The rooms were very nice, the beds comfortable, breakfast very good and a nice variety of choices. The one down side would be the location... While close to the town center and the train station, the hotel was surrounded by topless bars, sex shops and other seedy establishments. We felt like we were in the red light district. Returning to the hotel at night on foot was an adventure... My wife and daughter were both very uncomfortable walking to and from the hotel in the evening and on one occasion my wife was grabbed by the arm by an Arab woman who tried to pull her into a bar / nude dancing club. My other stays in Munchen have been on the opposite side of the town center at the downtown Hilton, which while pricier is in a much nicer neighborhood.

The room was quite basic but clean, comfortable and spacious enough. A minibar fridge and perhaps tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been good. The bathroom was average and it would have been nice if toiletries are provided. There was no air conditioner and even though we stayed there during a couple of sunny days, it wasn't an issue as we were out during the day and the room didn't retain the heat from the day being on the second floor. The hotel is conveniently located with the main railway station located just a short walk away. The neighbourhood could have been less seedy, but we didn't have any bad encounters. It wasn't noisy either as our room faced the courtyard. The buffet breakfast was great and the home-made jam was really good. The service was fine; we had no problems even though we didn't speak German.
