We were staying for the Christmas period at this hotel. Check-in went smoothly. We got a room at the 17th floor, room 1707. These rooms are nicely refurbished and classic modern. The bed is huge and very comfy. the badroom is superbly clean and the shower is big. Indeed, I read the reviews before and it's an added value watching TV when taking a bath, they even put an extra speaker in the bathroom ensuring you won't miss a thing on TV. Actually, the website shows a bowl of appels in the room, well, we didn't see the bowl in the room but we got surprised twice from housekeeping. The 25th, they've put a chocolate Santa Claus on the desk and the 26th we found a little praline waiting for us. Also when we checked out, we got another chocolate surprise. Talking about the breakfast, there's wide choice with pretzels, croissants and multivitamin juice. The fruit isn't always fresh I must say. It's 17 EUR and you get what you pay for. The hotel features also a cocktailbar serving a nice selection of alcolholfree cocktails. The hotel has multilingual and attentive staff, they're very helpful. We booked online back in September and paid around 109 EUR room only, A great rate for a great hotel. We would certainly recommend this. The locaton is a little out of town, but the submay is a five minute walk and brings you in less than 20 minutes to the heart of the city.

We got off to a bad start when we realised that we had booked the ArabellaSheraton Bogenhausen not the ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel, Bogenhausen. Both hotels had the same address so the mistake was easily made. We arrived to get directed across the street to the less opulent ArabellaSheraton Bogenhausen.
The reviews I had read on Trip Advisor was for the Grand Hotel so my expectations wre high. You need to remember this when reading my review.

The reception area is adequate but not that attractive. Our room [an executive room] was very nicely decorated so no complaints here. We were on the 20th floor. We headed down to the reception to the snack bar for a quick lunch. The menu was small. No wine listed. The single waitress was run off her feet so it took some time to order. She apologied & explained that she doesn't ususlly work in that area. She was very pleasant. The food was quiet poor. My dim sum arrived without the dips. It tasted like it came out of a freezer. The turkey [we think it was turkey] in the club sandwich was tough & tasteless. Overall not a good experience. I would not recommend eating in the Snack Bar. We did not have breakfast so I can't comment on the food otherwise.

Would I stay there again, probably not as I think there are other hotels with better facilities in better locations for the same price.

The room was good!

Great hotel! The front of the hotel makes it look like this is an old, rundown sister of the GrandSheraton across the street, but the rooms are awesome: big, modern rooms, great views, wonderful service, wireless internet, the works, and at only 170 Euros per night for a huge double suite.

The Ubahn is right outside, but be careful as the last train back from downtown is shortly after 8 p.m. We ended up having to take a taxi, which cost about 20 Euro.

The lobby gets smoky by the end of the day. Don't waste your money on the hotel breakfast: right out back there are a couple of great German bakeries as well as a new San Francisco Coffee Company store. Open-air market on Thursday behind the hotel is great for fresh fruit, bread, and cheese, not to mention nice flowers to brighten up the room.

I would stay here again anytime I am in Munich.

used points and had a very good experience. property is 4 subway stops from the inner-city points of interest. contratry to previously posted, I was able to get on a train at 2am back to the hotel. however, don't think you're walking anywhere of interest other than the few basic shops/restaurants in the neighborhood around this hotel (think ballston in arlington outside dc). one unique feature is the decks and club lounge provide rare outdoor patio access. bottom line: this is a safe, clean hotel, with nice views and acessable to most of munich...

There are two sheraton hotels in arabella park - one
is the 5 star grand hotel, and this one bogenhausen is
the four star twin. Both properties are next to each other.

The hotel is located in arabella park - for tourists this is about
a 10 minute subway ride from the areas you'd want to be in
munich. the ride is not bad at all and the u-bahn station is
within 5 minutes walk next to the bus stop and supermarket.

nearby restaurants were fantastic - try the italian ones in the
plaza behind the hotel -- all of them were authentic and it
was as good as it gets outside of italy -- reasonably priced.
there was a supermarket nearby to pick up food and water
if needed as well as other stores.

subway lines did not run as frequently after 20:00 with the
last line from center munich leaving 8:30ish so this would
be a problem if you wanted to say longer - you'd have to
get a taxi or figure out the bus system which is more confusing.

the hotel was as expected for sheraton - clean rooms
and interesting decor that was minimalist and modern
at the same time. there was a frig to store things such
as water and so forth. we would definitely stay again
however if you do like to spend a lot of time at night
in downtown munich this may not be for you since the
public transportation is inconvenient getting back
with no u-bahn after 8:30pm

I travel a lot and this is probably one of the nicest hotels I have been to.

The rooms are beautifully decorated in a very nice modern style, there isn't a detail missing and you can even watch television from the bath as the partition wall is a glass covered with a curtain that you can open and watch television while you relax.

The rooms have both wireless and cable internet connection.

The restaurant is fantastic and the breakfast selection is extremely good.

The price was excellent as well. I would give this hotel 5 stars and the price I paid was that of a 3 star hotel!

I would recommend this to anyone. The only downside is that it appears to be a bit far from the city centre but if you are going there on business, it doesn't matter because you will be getting taxis anyway and this way you will avoid the morning traffic.

I've stayed here a couple of times and the facilities and service are good. There's fast internet access in the rooms that can be charged to the room which is very convenient and I found that for working in the room in the evening it was comfortable and spacious. The hotel is also located close to shops and restaurants so you don't need to feel tied to the hotel menu and prices.

I was on the 18th floor and the view over Munich is spectacular. There is a good pool and Wellness area but, like the rest of the hotel, could do with a bit of an overhaul.
