First thing for the lobby needs to fix their characters and atmosphere urgently... we had entered to and felt very spooky at first.

The room is very large but no air-con and very noisy at night....we hardly slept especially on Friday night when people hanging out on the street and shouting...also the noise from train station as we can hear every announcement making there.

The staffs here are superb .Everyone are so eager to serve and assist you .

Especially, Isabela , in the cafe. She is a superwoman.. clean up the table so fast and very eager to help you to find the seat. Very impressed.

With a 4 Star rating, I had certain expectations....which were certainly not met. Reception was decidedly shabby and the whole hotel was very dated. My room which overlooked the main railway station was large but did not have air conditioning but a noisy fan - I chose to open the windows but it was incredibly noisy outside between the road traffic, rail announcements and chatty commuters until the wee small hours! The room was clean but very tired. The mini bar was truly mini - only soft drinks and no diet options or snacks. In the large bathroom, there was just soap in containers on the wall, which doubled up as bath or shower gel but not positioned if one wanted to use it in the bath. It was certainly a no frills experience - no cotton buds or similar that one usually would expect in a 4 star hotel and the towels were so old and grey, they need to be retired urgently. The breakfast was good but the seating was cramped. Vanessa on Reception was the best thing about the hotel - she truly made one feel very welcome.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing the railway station or on the main road - it is very very noisy.

We had requested a double room, but at reception were advised it was twin bedded.
On entering room, it was more like a scullery room, and not like the Regent Hotel Premier brochure claim on the table.
We went down to the Reception to complain and was advised that as there was the Bayern Munich match on and celebrations, that they had no spare rooms and if we wanted a sister hotel it would be an additional 180 euros per night.
We advised that we would leave our suitcase unpacked and would they call me if a double room became available.
After walking around Munich for the next 7 hours we returned to be advised they had good news and that a double room had now become available,.
So that was better as the room and bathroom were of larger size and more comfortable.
We did the next morning have to clean the room as there was dust/fluff on the radiator in the bathroom, and the ventilator grill had also not been cleaned for weeks, nor vacuumed around the bedside cabinets. There was also wood chipping marks/cuts on the small television table, which you could have cut yourself on.
The Hotel also advises in their leaflet that items such as bathrobes and slippers etc, but these were only available on request. Also there was no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. The bar was also closed on Sunday and Mondays.
The breakfast was adequate and all self service.
The position of the hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the Central Station at Munich, and 10 minutes to the Old Town Centre of Munich, but due to the above reasons we would not recommend this being in the Cresta Brochure or staying at the Hotel. Regards Gary Saunders

Room Tip: if you have to stay, make sure it is a double room.

We stayed in this Hotel for one night. The bed wasn’t great and the shower was terrible. Water leaking everywhere and not enough towels. The lift was very old and small and we had to pay for car parking. It wasn’t cheap either. The only positive thing about this Hotel was the staff, very friendly. Wouldn’t stay there again.

This hotel is well located, when in Munich. Near downton, you can make a litle walk. Or, if we want, cross the street and go tothe central train station.
People in front desk is very nice. Same to the breakfeast or the bar inside the hotel.
In center city you have a lot to see. Go around in downtonwn, and the market, were you can eat what you want in so many different ways.
Don't forget the beer. It's wonderful. In any season the year.

We stayed in Munich in March with our adult son, and were in need of a triple room. We found on reasonably priced at Hotel Regent, and surprisingly it was the LARGEST room I have ever stayed in while in Europe. The room was clean and so was the spacious bathroom.
The hotel staff was excellent and very helpful. We arrived early but were able to leave our luggage and explore the city and grab some breakfast. The elevator is tiny, but it seemed to exactly where we needed it everytime we pushed the call button.
The location is also excellent! If you get the chance, check out the Shakespeare Bar next door. Angie, the owner, is super nice and the ambiente is fantasic.
Don't let the people scare you off because the TV didn't have any english channels. Are you in town to explore it or sit in the room and watch television? Also, people complaining about the noise: Munich is a large busy city! I wonder if they complain about noise in places like New York or Paris, too...
No A/C? Did you guys read the room descriprion before you booked? Read the details and ask questions next time. Common sense people!
Bottom line: this place was soo good and affordble that I didn't want to write a review. Sometimes, after too many good reviews are posted, the prices go up and the bargain hunters are left in the dust.

Room Tip: The triple is HUGE!!!

The Regent Hotel is located opposite the Main Rail Station of Munich. About 30 minutes drive from the airport. The breakfast has a large varieties to offer . Very delicious breakfast. The Hotel staff is very helpful and co-operative . They provided with lot of information regarding Munich and must see things. Just near the Hotel there are lot of agencies which take you for a 2 hour / 4 hour / full day Hop In - Hop Out sightseeing tour. The room was lovely and spacious and very clean. wi fi is complimentary .
