“Walking Tour...”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

I travel recently to Munich and did not have much time on the city, the walking tour gave us an excellent overview of the city. Our tour guide was excellent and very friendly. I would recommend this tour to everyone...

Our tour was very fast paced and exhausting. Third Reich tour. The guide was great but he just packed too much stuff into such a short period of time.

“AWESOME Beer and Brewery Tour!!”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

Went on the Beer and Brewery tour yesterday and had a great time! Our Australian guide, Rory, is already a brewer and is studying to become a brewmaster (so that he can teach people about beer!). He was EXTREMELY knowledgable and very patient when I asked him a million questions. His passion for beer was clearly evident - and contagious! :)

We started at Augustiner am Dom for delicious Helles, Edelstoff or Weissbier (included in the tour) outside in the sun with a great view of the Frauenkirche. Then went two stops by metro to a Paulaner brewery (not the main brewery, but one of its locations) to learn about the brewing process. So cool to walk through the different rooms and see an actual beer being made! Again, Rory really knew his stuff, and we all learned a lot. Then the Paulaner biergarten for another beer (included in the tour) and dinner or a snack if you wanted (not included). Favorites were the unfiltered Helles - only available at that location and it was AMAZING - and the Falsch Russ'n - a Weissbier that was fruity, with grapefruit/citrus flavor but without lemonade - highly recommended! Then took metro two stops to the Hofbrauhaus where we saw staff members snapping whips in time to the music on the ground floor - so cool! We walked through the top floor to see the Festhall and then found a table outside in the biergarten. We all got masses of Helles (not included in tour) and stayed until they closed and kicked us out at midnight.

Had a lot of fun getting to know the other six people on the tour. A really great night!! I highly recommend this tour!!!

“Beer and Brewery Tour review”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I took an evening Beer and Brewery Tour in May 2014. Rory, an Australian who had come to Germany years earlier to formally train as a brewmaster, led the group and was clearly more than qualified to comment on the intertwined historical, cultural and technical aspects of brewing that are unique to Bavaria. Different people want different things out of tours, and so it is fair to assume that it is not always possible to please all of the people all of the time. This thankfully did not appear to be the case in our group (the addition of New Zealanders or Australians to the group is usually a good formula for loosening things up). I was more interested in the science of the brewing process, so Rory was an endless fountain spurting out information. What this tour is probably not about is making a bunch of brand new best buddies over too many drinks. That being said, some of the group stayed late at the last stop to chat over a beer. If you want history, tradition, culture, and science of brewmaking, some good beer and some good company, this is your tour.

“Great walking tours”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

We did two of the Munich Walk Tours. The first one the Third Reich Tour was great. Eric our guide was very good and put Munich's involvement in the Nazi Third Reich period in to great perspective. On our last day we had booked with the company to do a Bike Tour. Unfortunately the guide did not show up but the guides for the City Walking Tour called the office and arranged for us to be able to go on the Walking Tour and get the money refund for the difference. Our guide on the City Walking tour was very knowledgeable and hearing about other key historical events for some of the same spots in town put a great perspective. I recommend doing both tours.
