This hotel is located just 5 min walk from Munich main station. Worth for the money. But very small rooms. the hotel is located on the first floor, and is difficult to identify. Ask nearby for the exact location of the hotel.

* Good, cheap and clean rooms
* Small rooms, room for 5 ppl will be very conjested
* No lift service, therefore do not take heavy luggage as you will have to carry it 2 floors
* Situated amongst the great hotel giants NH international hotels, Le Meridian, etc... But offers cheap rooms comparatively.
* Suitable for sight seers who do not intend to spend on rooms, travellers who wish to make a short stay at munich

Munich is a expensive city in Germany, and to find a good room for a good price it"s not easy. The location of Hostel Central is good, very closed to central train sattion and about 10 minutes walking from the city center. I stayed in a room for 4, and was very wide. The cleaness was ok.
The hostel there is no elevator, and the staff was also ok.
But they were making some constructions and making a lot of big noise from 7 am. Very unpolite with the guest! Every morning we wake up with drill noise, hammers, and others annoying sounds.

STEALING, CHEATING, RUDE and LYING if you are looking for a hostel that can provide all of these for you, then Hostel Central is totally perfect for your choice!!
This hostel is the worst place I ever stayed in my entire life! The staffs are arrogant, cheating and never ask for their help because they DON’T CARE! If you have to stay here, believe me record everything for your own evidence!! Don’t believe on anything they said, just record it! So they can’t cheat on you!!
Short story
If anyone don’t want to read a full story here is a short one. They stole the things we left in the room , not only they didn’t give us any responsibility but also called us a thief!! Cheated our deposit and lied about the room deposit. The staffs were arrogant, always look down on you and always talked to you with a frowny face and kept murmuring in German (after you asked anything from them) which you can tell that it’s a complain about you.
The wall of the room was so thin so it’s very noisy at night. There is no curtain on the window so everyone can see you from outside. The bathroom was small and not clean. Also the stairs was very steep and too high for visitors who come with luggage.
Our full story
On the first day of our arrival, we paid for a room. After we got a reciept the receptionist guy told us that we need to pay 20 Euros extra for a room deposit and we will get it back when we check out. But when we checked out another receptionist told us that there’s no rule for room deposit and look at us like we are cheaters, plus she just call her boss and keep on laughting and staring at us while speaking with her boss in German! How rude is that!!
On the second day of our stay, we asked the reception that we have to check out on the next day but on that day we have to leave very early in the morning like 6.30 am. and will come back to the city in the afternoon. So is it possible for us to have early check out? She said that she can’t do an early check out for us but we can just leave that key card in the room and close the door, everyone who needs early check out can do that. We thank her for her tips but we also need a room deposit and other deposits back (towels and hair dryer). So we asked for her advice what should we do. She said we can leave towels and hair dryer in the room along with the key card as well and come to pick the deposit back when we come back in the afternoon. I kept asking her that is it ok and safe to do that, she said no worry, it’s ok, so we thanked her again and followed her advice.
On the next day we leave the key card, towels and hair dryer on the table in the room together and make sure that we close the door properly then leave in the early morning. When we came back in the afternoon, we came to Hostel Central and we found the same receptionist so we told her that we came for the deposits. She looked at us from head to toe and told us that there’s no hair dryer in your room (what a surprise! She don’t have to ask our room number or check first but she already know there’s no hair dryer in our room). We said that she can’t do nothing bla bla bla, not only the hair dryer is missing, the key card was missing as well! We said that it’s impossible but she just kept look down on us and let us talk to her boss on the phone.
Her boss just kept on saying NO NO NO. She said that they found only towels and key card but no hair dryer (now our key card is back in the room!! They are lying not in the same story!). She also told us that she thought that “we are a thief who steal her hair dryer and came back to get the deposit so we can get double!!”. Well, we don’t know why we need a nearly broken hair dryer on the last day of our trip! And of course no deposit backs to us except the deposit of towels which is 4 Euros.
So in total we lost hair dryer deposit (15 Euros) and Room deposit (20 Euros) to this hostel!! Also bad feeling to faced people who looked down on us and called us a thief!!

Room Tip: don't ever go there!!

I booked a 10-bed dorm for myself and two friends. We got there and had to haul our luggage up a flight of stairs to get to reception, and we were able to book in fairly easily, and taken through a door at the back of reception to our room. However later when we tried to get to our room this way a receptionist yelled at us as apparently there is another staircase we were supposed to use - a staircase which lead directly to the toilets/smoking area for the casino which was on the ground floor and a building site, which we had to cross to get onto the street, where the hostel is apparently installing a lift. This building site was also directly outside our windows, and as we stayed during some very hot summers days, we naturally had the windows open, and the building went on from 7am until the late evening. And yet didn't look as if they'd done anything. On the day we left we had to wait ten minutes for the builders to move a van as they were blocking the exit. We were not told when we booked that they were doing this work, otherwise we would've chosen elsewhere. However the hostel itself was okay - not too shabby, but as our dorm was right next to the communal kitchen and 'games room', it was a bit weird having to get to our 'private ensuite and shower room' which were on the other side of the communal area.

We booked a last minute hotel for just one night in Munich. It was 62 EURO about 20 bucks cheaper than the cheapest room available at a hotel. The location seemed shady but we got in really late at night. The room seemed clean and we had a private bathroom. It was both me and my husband's first time living in a hostel. I would not go back again but it did provide a comfortable bed and bathroom for the night. NOTE: bring your own hand soap. You must pay for towels.

Wonderfully placed hostel local to Munchen Station.
Very, very clean and friendly staff.
It would be worth saying the entrance is down an alleyway off the main street as we missed it the first time.

Positive:
1) Good location: 5 min to the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and 10 min to the City Center (Karlsplatz)
2) Clean room/bathroom and very good beds
3) Quiet room: ideal for someone who likes a good night of sleep!

Negative:
1) Don't have elevator but there are only 3 floors...
2) The information in the reservation e-mail are not clear: just catch the train in S8 line from the airport and get out at Hauptbahnhof without need to change trains!
